In IN, Reimu didn't even acknowledge Alice's existence (or conversation) until it was a convenient non-excuse: "Well, there's two of you, so I get two tries!"

Reimu never addresses her by name and ignores Alice after she defeats her in her SWR route (it was Komachi who agreed to move their fight elsewhere); in Alice's route she just goes "Oh, it's just you."

You might be onto something.

IaMP, When Reimu Encounters Alice in the Story, She jumps to calling her a criminal, making no reference to anything she's done in the past. It seems like she based the theory on her being a Youkai alone.
When Alice Encounters Reimu, Reimu accuses her of being a Beggar, saying "People who live in the forest and sneak into the shrine during the night usually are." Which hints at a lack of recognition.

In IN Magic team, Reimu never replies to anything Alice Says, except for the part where she Accuses Alice and Marisa of Corrupting the Moon when Alice brings it up.

That's as far as the Theory reached, but with 10.5 and 12.3, There's much more likelyhood of that theory having evidence against it. I still think it would make for a nice In joke, though.

Well, partially.
Its really not so much that as it is that our face is our weak point. If we have no face, we are completly immune to any sort of attack youkai can mount. So much, in fact, that they are unable to even initiate said attacks. I'm...not really sure why, but hey, it works.
