Long ago, drawthreads were cool because they weren't a daily thing. The threads happened because a bunch of artists were in an artsy mood. They only appeared, maybe once or twice a month. Good times.

Drawthreads aren't that bad, when done properly. I never check into those flockdraw threads because they always seem to degrade into /b/ level threads, but genuine OC threads (note, not just drawing) are quite productive and generally enjoyable.

What I'm really hating is the few new anons to /jp/ who insist on vocally expressing their opinions of drawthreads, persisting with insults and attempts to derail it. I always considered the majority of /jp/ to be mature enough to simply hide/report threads that don't interest them, or don't belong. My guess would be a sudden influx of /a/ has caused a rise in the number of anons who believe they own /jp/ and can tell other people what threads are allowed, based on their own personal preference.

It's possible, though, that you people think I'm the one creating all these threads to force people to like what I created. Because this is 4chan and unless you're a janitor or above, there's no way for anyone to prove or deny this, so you should just believe what you want.

I'd say this one thing, though: if all I want was cheap attention, wouldn't it be much easier and faster to MSPaint a bunch of avatar doodles and roleplay like the rest of the bad drawfags? I could even get my own page at Encyclopedia Dramatica, who knows?

About the maid design, no one said there should be only one. She looks like that because at the time the biggest theories about the maid identity were that she was either DAHF or !nipaa because those were the threads that were largely immune to spam and trolling. That was most likely a case of the janitor watching over harmless threads and posters while letting /b/, /v/ and poolshmer threads drown in their own shit, but I thought that the janitor being a Rikafag was a cute one to work upon. She has breasts because she's supposed to be a Rika fan, though, not Rika herself.

I don't see what the problem is. The OC threads are usually contained to one, with a few rogues here and there, but mostly just one thread which eventually dies and another is made to take its place.
