the best I've done is beating PCB, but I always end up using up one continue when I get to stage 5. With IN I can barely make it past stage 4. When it comes to MoF every time I get to stage 3 I get to see my waifu, whenever she shows up on the screen I cant bring myself to shoot her, I won't even use bombs, I'll just continue dodging while she throws everything she has at me. I can never make it past her fifth spellcard, I only get past the fourth if I'm lucky, but I'm still determined to get through that stage without harming her intentionally.

The only main series game I haven't 1cc'd on normal yet is UFO, but to be fair, I've only played it 3 or 4 times. SA on the other hand doesn't seem to give me the problems that it does most people. I've also cleared EoSD Lunatic (all continues, 1 life remaining), and Extra on both EoSD and PCB. Haven't given the others much of a chance. Plus I've been too occupied with Monster Hunter lately to bother with Touhou. Oh, right, this is supposed to be about how much we suck at Touhou. Well, I'm terrible with fighting games in general, and I'm primarily a normal mode player in the main series.

When I started off with EOSD, I couldn't even make it past Cirno, and that was on Easy. I had absolutely no natural ability whatsoever. But I kept at it. About 8 months later of playing a few hours a night a few times a week, I've 1cc'd every Touhou danmaku on Normal except for SA, Mystic Square and Story of Eastern Wonderland.

It's not like I was practicing either though, of course. I did it because it was fun. Training to be better in Touhou to avoid some 'secondary' stigma is ridiculous. Be aware though that shitty hardware can sabotage your game though. Danmaku is probably the least forgiving game genre for ghosting, so be sure you have a monitor with a decent refresh rate. Make sure you have a decent keyboard too, and one that has enough key rollover that you can press 4+ buttons at once and still be able to make proper diagonal movement. If you're playing on anything other than a desktop, you might encounter these problems.

Keyboards are fine. Yeah, I guess it falls on the person playing, and while I've never tried it for myself I do think sticks are better. There are some movements made with it that I doubt I could replicate with the same level of ease, being limited to three fingers covering four directions. I remember LYX doing a test run for 2.2B using the keyboard, and it may be a matter of familiarity but you could tell which input device offered more freedom.

Youmu prevents me from 1ccing PCB, and SA rips my asshole in half constantly. Which is a shame, because it has all my favorite characters.
I can, however, 1cc Phantasmagoria of Flower View with Reisen if that counts for anything. I'd like to think I'm not a secondary. I saw an image of Okuu being a complete badass, found out what she was from, and grabbed a full batch torrent.
I primarily stick to SWRS because fighting games are my life.
