I heard a lot about GSC's lack of quality control for the figure, which was really disappointing. I believe they are just rumors though.

Surprisingly enough, he gave the figure 5 stars- which is really rare of him. I'm glad.

This was my first time using Hobbysearch to buy a figure too- and it went really smoothly. I was upset about the conversion factor though- using Paypal, you pay almost 10 dollars extra because the US dollar drops over night.

I have the Sanae. And well, while I am not regretting I got her and while I do love the sculpt the PVC paint-job is on the dull side. I like the subdued colors but the paint for her eyes are ugh. I have no idea if it's the same with Reimu.

T's PVCs are pretty expensive, and while I think they have nice sculpts I'm not sure I think they are worth that much money. That being said, I still don't regret getting Sanae. It's still, overall, the best Sanae PVC in my opinion.

I don't know if this helped you at all, but at the very least; don't expect it to look as nice at the Garage Kit, because it most probably won't.

I have GiFT's Reimu myself, and I love that one, but I don't know if you're interested.

I actually have the T's System Sanae too, that's why I'm looking into getting Reimu to go with her. Sanae turned out to be a great piece of work; high quality and a good sculpt. But unlike Reimu, she is one of the later models in the T's system product line. So I imagine, like any other type of product, that the earlier models are more likely to come with imperfections. Or this could just be a baseless assumption of mine.

All the T's system figures are the same quality. I have marisa, reimu, sanae, alice, and remilia and am satisfied with all of them.

T's uses pastel-ish colors and sketchy-eyes which may lead you to believe something is messed up, but they are intended to look different. All of their figures are this way.

It's actually a Mameshiki figure, not a Nendoroid.

Some figures appreciate in value, but most hover around retail price or drop a bit. It just depends on how big the demand is and how available they are afterwards. The most highly sought-after figures only go for about 2.5x retail price at most, and those aren't always predictable.

Basically, the reason american action figurine lose so much value when opened is because people will play with them, where figurine... they don't get damaged at all because they're only displayed.

I ordered one nendoroid petite and a small anime mat. They are hardly THAT heavy. They gave me a box that could at least fit 4 of the nendoroid petite box flat and 4 more set on top and there are still some more spaces.
