Females follow male protagonists all the time since they happens to be the majority in fiction.

And still. Female > Male is just as straight as Male > Female.
If she saw something like "Togainu no Chi", then it could have been a slight problem, but even then, one could possibly advert it by explaining the story (and having regular straight stories around.)

Otome games are nice, they tend to have a slightly different overall atmosphere hanging around, feels nice you know.
Besides, to follow the perspective of a female in romantic, and/or erotic adventures, is my fetish.
And anyone can enjoy an interesting story.
