Foobar can play the .tta files but if you feel like converting them to .FLAC or whatever for your MP3 player/Media player of choice then Foobar also provides an easy convert tool. They are Galges. Great Galges, but still, so you know what to expect.

Roughly 50%-60% is pure VN format.
The rest is made out of gameplay, that although relatively interesting, and ties in with what you read, it's still rather easy and made to not be a pushover so that you can continue reading unless you are doing something outright wrong.

The characters are great.
The story is arguably not as strong, but it's directly tied to the characters, which is great, and the setting itself is interesting and detailed.

Besides the ones you can use to synth special moves, the others can be given to the personae as gifts so they level up higher temporarily. Ask them to take off their clothes, program higher level Hyumas. This is all in Song Synth by the way.

It's funny to see what items each one loves best. Soma for one likes childish food. She looks so cute accepting it.

I haven't asked any of the girls to strip, still at Phase and Finnel strip on her own, other than that, nah. Is this a bad thing?

Also, is there a way to program a neat song? I've look into each Hyuma's song preference and I don't get a thing.

Yeah, they usually get along fine enough to take their clothes off on their own. More of an optional thing when you're changing personae and need a high level Hyuma to go with it.

I still don't know how the songs work, but it goes that the hyuma helps with the vocalization of the one they have assigned when the situation is as they like. Some sing when you're in the best condition, others when you're in a pinch. When you purge with the selected hyuma, the combat hymn changes to that one.

Or that's what I've figured out so far, honestly it all feels voodoo to me. Except for one thing that I noticed. If you want the Purge video to play, just do the purge when you're hitting an upbeat.

Try getting past phase 1 before you judge a character entirely. Like the other Ar Tonelico games it's only in the later phases that you get a real understanding of them. Hell I even found myself liking Luca a little by the end of AT2, despite how much I disliked her halfway through.

Depends. The extras you got with AT3 were slightly different but the game itself is identical as far as I know. The EU artbook is about half the size and is softback compared to the hardback NA version. Also you'll need a NA account to get DLC for the NA copy and similarly you'll need an EU account to get DLC for an EU copy so if you're importing keep this in mind.

Given that you can fast-forward through all the plot scenes (except Tyria's CS for some fucking reason) you will probably get through that part of the game in less than half the time. Still going to take several hours, though.

I would recommend playing through some other game first and then coming back to AT3 for round 2. That's what I did, anyway.

They will. In a very literal sense, if you give her 3 points. Rinkernator to Moocheriel changes depending on who gets more heart points, after that the main story is pretty much exactly the same up until the ending.

Honestly you don't really need to grind in this game. As long as you fight as you go along you should be at a good level no matter what. Not to mention you can easily overkill almost any boss if you let the Reyvateil's last purge form to build up a super high Burst and then unleash the Flipsphere on a high red bar.

Eh, I wouldn't listen to IGN, some of their reviewers hate JRPGs/anime-style games. The one that reviewed Rorona was probably one of them.

Opinions of Rorona tend to range from decent to good. The characters are pretty likable, their interaction is good, and I liked the english VA (Rorona sounds adorable). And unlike most JRPGs, you're not saving the world, you're just trying to save your workshop from being foreclosed. Although I think the other mainline Ateliers are similar (only Iris and Mana Khemia are the traditional "save the world" types), but other than Annie, those aren't translated.

Most people criticize the time management, which can be kind of strict especially if you're trying to go for the best and true ending.

Rorona is decent. Totori will be released in a few months and it improves a lot on Rorona. Disgaea 3 is good and 4 will be out soon. Tales of Graces f and Tales of Xillia will be released eventually. There's JRPGs like Neptunia, Agarest, Trinity Universe etc. available too if those appeal to you. Then there's the usual games like Valkyria Chronicles, Demons souls and such along with stuff like Ico/SotC remakes and The Last Guardian coming out. I'd say it's worth keeping, personally.

Pretty much all of them are dual audio. I'm not sure about the new Tales games though since they're still quite a way off. Vesperia didn't have dual audio simply because it was limited to a DVD, I think. Demons Souls doesn't have dual audio either though it doesn't need it. I was trying to play Ar Tonelico Melody of Elemia, on PS2 emulator, but the game keeps freezing at the screen transition points....It does not hang ..it freezes for 10 or so seconds and then resumes normally.

I have tried everything... hacks and speed-hacks, with no luck.

I remember some other Gust game had somewhat similar problem...

Please help me out if you know what fixes this...
