Quick question:

How many of you leave your house to work and don't hate your job? What do you do?

>leave your house to work

I work at my house.

Bang.

>> No.7902489

lazy work at the discounter.
The pay is rather bad, but the easy taking is great. And next to no social interaction.

I'm leaving in an hour to go for customer service training that I'll be taking through Monday.

The number of people who fulfill both of these criteria are next to none.

Accounting. I get to sit back, work with virtually nobody, and just sort numbers everyday. And I get £78,000 per year to do it.

Software developer. Either I work in site or at home. I like my job, so long as nobody asks me to work in some god forsaken bunker with no air conditioner like my first job.

game programmer, more like bugs fixer. Kinda boring.
Go to work at 9AM, go home at 7PM. Go to 4chan, play some Touhou for 3 hours then go to sleep.
Saturday and Sunday i can play some more games.

I'm a freelance housecleaner. I clean people's homes for money. It's nasty, but it pays well.

I kind of like it.

Is it possible to get a job with one workday per week?

Can you, if assuming minimal living standards, live on such low pay?

Usually yes. But a lot of rich kids throw parties, and those always get messy. I found a drunk couple going at it in the thrash once, they were covered in booze and vomit. They were too drunk to care.

I've been toying with the idea of going to some huge shareholder's house and at gunpoint make him buy up a bunch of worthless stocks really fast and then I'd sell my stocks and make a killing.

Seems like a lot of work though. Maybe I'll just forge coupons or sell counterfeit cigarettes.

Pharmacy Tech. I fill medication orders, prepare IV admixtures, compound ointments/creams/oral solutions. When I'm slacking off I talk to the women, listen to my mp3 player, draw, or sneak outside to smoke.

Buddy of mine just got his honorable discharge; after he was grounded for medical reasons they put him on desk duty; transfers paperwork.

He nearly went mad and got some lawyers to accelerate his discharge (SOC really fucking hates letting go of their people, even during 'force shaping.') How you deal, I have no idea.

Professional shit-poster and I love my job.
I blog about my daily shit-posting activities and make money by people reading it through Google adsense.
Best part is, I don't even need to leave my house, ever.

yes. You can actually live quite well with $80 a week if you live in africa.

I live in a south american country, and you only need to spend like $300 here to live decently. If you get a hold of a good online job, you could just move here and live like a richfag.

I maintain Debian packages and contribute patches. Sometimes people visit my personal Web page, and one day someone might click the donate button. One day.

I sometimes go to the shop to get more coffee, so that counts.

I work at a corner store where I wear a silly hat and play soft music all day.

When I'm at home, I alternate between learning modeling from the 3D Buzz course and just pissing away time any way I can think of at the moment.

You can stop using microworkers if you join an ex group.

you need to invest like $10 but you get that back the same day.

well, I'm unemployed from years, but I gave myself a deadline. if I don't manage to make something decent with what I'm praticing, I'll quit again, this time forever, and I'll accept to become a normalfag. yes, its like dying...but that thing is the last spark of what I used to be. if that fail, nothing remains of the old me.

During the summer I work at the local school district as extra grounds/custodial help.
Easy as shit most of the time, and if you're in a building except during the major projects (e.g. preparing classrooms to be waxed), and occasionally during breaks there's basically no talking going on. Pay is fairly decent for the work and it was full time which is great, and it goes up basically every year, and depending on how many people get hired/return that summer there's very little work to do for each individual person.

Did I see you on /g/ before?

Also I am considering a welding apprenticeship at Caterpillar since my dad is a welder there. How difficult is welding? Will I die?

>> No.7902861

>>7902830
Oddly enough I just got a call from caterpillar to come in and do an aptitude test. Shit's $18/hr so it's not a bad paying job, but I've worked factories before and they can average between "just bearable" and "soul crushing hellferno of despair." Worst part is usually being surrounded by normalfags all the time.

>> No.7902862

>>7902830
I've never posted on /g/ before, perhaps it was someone else.
But I'd certainly reccomend an Apprenticeship, especially within a company as big as CAT. Welding isn't particularly difficult, just depends what type of welding you're doing. And as for death via Welding? Nah, your eyes might suffer a little but it's not life threatening unless you don't wear any protective gear.

And if you're curious as to how much you might be earning, I take home £700 a week after working taxes ect. Sorry for the sage, I don't wanna bump this thread much more.

>> No.7902908

I work as tech support in a local amusement park. It doesn't pay that well but the job is completely stress-free with most of the time being able to play Touhou until a problem crops up. Still looking for a better paying job, I'll have three years of experience come this December so I should be past the entry-level bullshit.

>> No.7902906

I leave my house to work, but I'm in college, working in the dining hall and living in the dorm right next to it, so I walk like 30 feet to get there. Also, I asked to work in the back cutting vegetables so I didn't have to interact with people. It's actually incredibly soothing to spend four or five hours peeling onions or slicing tomatoes.
