Don't need to be a fat indestructible sack of lard when you're Kazama.

Fly an A-10.

Return home with one engine, no wings, and half your fuselage turned into empty air.

Fly an F-20.

Return with an actual profit on every mission.

>> No.7914680

Not having to buy weapons makes for pretty good profit, especially in jungle/caverns.

Or you could just suicide dive the caravans for an hour.

I was talking about the real A-10.

>> No.7914713

>>7914694
And I was talking under the assumption that you used the A-10's ability to tank obscene amounts of damage as a substitute for being able to avoid accumulating damage.

I'm pretty sure that translates to bleeding money in A88...

Luckily they work off a massive debt system, eh? I never did finish watching the anime. I bought the first four episodes on DVD but never could find the rest.

At least in the game you don't have to pay for repairs.

More like thank god Greg is unkillable.
Guy's a lovable indestructible fatass.

However that sort of life isn't suited for Shin.
Gotta get back to Japan and all that emotional stuff, y'know?

Manga Shin was here.
Who are all you guys? Where am I? Where's Kanzaki? What's with the short brown kid?

OPTIMISM! TV anime ending = Amnesia! manga ending > BURNING MIRAGE! OVA end.

I like how one of the ace combat games had shin's paint scheme for the f-5

Zero, and it was the F-20.

Which is great, because Zero was pretty much an Area 88 homage.

>> No.7914834

which shooting game has the coolest shot types and subweapons? I've only played toohoo and the gradius minigame from zone of the enders.

Weak /jp/, really weak. I guess you play Touhou on normal too.

R-Type Final will fucking drown you in shot types and weapons.

It's a memory shmup though, so be prepared.

Area 88.
Also known by the localized name of UN Squadron.

Specifically it's the SNES version of the game.

>> No.7916430

>>7916361
...I've seen that game being recommended dozens of times and I've never played it. Thanks!

>> No.7916488

>>7916430
Yeah, it's pretty fun.
Arcade version has a linear mission structure, SNES has you hopping around battlefields.

It also has the distinction of bringing up the whole Project 4 story stuff from the manga that got stripped away in both the OVA and anime adaptations (from what I understand they're a group trying to profit off of the Aslan civil war by prolonging things and selling weapons or something along those lines)...
