I've been doing free projects in Art lately because the professor got bored of teaching.

I made a watercolor of Madotsuki and a print of Uboa. If I were to post them in the future, would anyone be interested? They aren't the best, and I don't want to take a slot for other images if no one wants to see non-computer generated art.

Actually, what's interesting is I did post it on /ic/ they actually seemed to like futa more than /jp/ does mostly to get proportions correct. I think they actually understood though, that when you draw a wide-hipped, large-headed loli with a 16" horse penis, the word anatomy lost it's meaning a long time ago.

There's also plenty of resident artists on /jp/ (like Mag) who posts progress shots. No one had an issue till tonight, probably because of spam, so I don't take it personal.

What do you want to know about it? Also, what version are you using? FL Studio 10 removes the signature pattern blocks feature by default (although it can still be re-enabled in the options menu); I'm not experienced enough with pattern clips (read: I've used them twice, and only for playing a single sample over a track made with pattern blocks), so I can't help you with that (though someone else probably can).

In general, once you know how to use the piano roll and playlist, just load a VST and start making music, put it in the piano roll when it sounds nice, switch to another pattern, load another VST, make music to along with the previous pattern, and continue until you have something that sounds good enough and continue from there.

Can anyone explain why /v/ won't let you use the word "viral" in posts.

They have three massive threads going on that seem to be a backlash against the spammish League of legends and other e-sports/competitive gaming threads and these e-sports threads are obvious viral with trip-anons encouraging each other to spend real money on these free-2-play games.

It's impossible to call a spade a spade in this case since certain words seem to be banned.

It's very Orwellian.

It's because it's way overused. I don't even visit /v/, but it's leaked out to other boards as well, and these days you can't be enthusiastic about anything anymore without being called out for 'viral marketing'.

It's an extremely easy way to troll, and completely crushes any possibility of serious discussion on the subject. On /jp/, we've had the same thing happen with Katawa Shoujo. At first, there was actual KS discussion, then people joked that the KS threads were made by the KS devs, people started taking it seriously, and nowadays all you get when trying to discuss Katawa Shoujo is 'get out KS devs'.

As a former circlejerking LoL tripfaggot, I can safely say that anyone who claims that those threads are somehow orchestrated by Riot Games is either mistaken or lying. It's rather obvious that none of the tripfags get paid to do... whatever it is they do. I really don't see how people can mistake that. It's not stealth marketing or anything like that.
And if you mean viral in the actual meaning of the word viral, then that's as useless as it is commonly mistaken. So the discussion is self-propogating. Yeah, that's pretty evident. I've been tinkering around with ONScripter lately trying to make something brief and entertaining, and reading Uncle Mion's reference guide, but I can't get all my music to play. The BGM command just doesn't fucking work with some songs, and there doesn't seem to be any connection between the ones that don't play. It's hit and miss.

Ideas? Can't proceed without music.

Here's a fairly old version of ONScripter that seems to work for most people. Try this.

Be warned that some of ONScripter's newer commands, such as bgmfadout and mp3fadeout, won't work on this version (although they won't cause problems either).

You can also try dwaveloop 0, "[music file path]" to play music (and dwavestop 0 to stop it), although it's better idea to use that command for playing sfx and voices instead.

Could you upload some of the music that doesn't seem to work with ONScripter? I'd like to see if the problem is reproducible on my end.

The folds seem fine, though. I find you're more self-conscious of folds after drawing them, but in the actual picture nobody will concentrate on them explicitly unless they look very wrong.

My best suggestion will be anatomy text book like Grey's Anatomy, 3D models there are also resources online. For drawing you'll want to learn "construction lines", always best to start from that until you're anatomy knowledge no longer requires them.

I was thinking of doing a short visual novella project. Literally novella, because I don't have the patience to basically write a novel several times. Nothing super long or ground-breaking.

Way back when some /jp/er thought of the idea of an eroge where the heroines are styled after music genres, remember? Jazz-chan, Classical-chan, Rock-chan, etc. I thought it might be interesting to have a story revolving around a murder in a music academy that has a different victim/culprit depending on the heroine. In one it was someone faking their death, in another it was out of jealousy, another it was an accident, etc. A few suspects, a few clues, etc. Short.

Since it would be a fairly short story for each girl I could write/program it on my own, but I can't draw or make music for SHIT. Well whatever, another idea for the pile to collect dust.

I have an older game implemented in a somewhat unusual language that I'm thinking about converting to be somewhat Touhou-related in mechanics as well as graphics, though the conversion would be only the the latter. It's a set of three games that use a webcam for control input, a Space Invaders clone, a breakout clone (which one could pretend is like HRtP sorta), and some silly destroying planes AR game. However, it's a bit awkward 'cause I can't get the development environment to work any more, so I'm going to ask. Would people be interested in this sort of thing? Flying around with your head in a witch hat, shooting fairies, bouncing yin-yang balls off your head with a miko costume, stuff like that.

In short, would it be worth the effort to get the code back up and running again to do this?
