It doesn't really feel like Metroid AT ALL. People relate Metroid and Castlevania because of SoTN, and Koumajou Densetsu don't make use of the characteristic SoTN had that made it ressemble the 2D Metroids, like going back to the previous areas with new power-ups to access new ones and such.

(btw, my deepest thanks to the anon that posted that calm and refreshing playlist. I've been hearing it while reading doujins and it's truly delightful.)

In fact, many of my most favorite remixes have vocals, even though the majority of the remixes I listen to are instrumental. (Anything with 小峠舞, for example; she has an amazing voice.)

I like a lot of vocalists and a lot of different voices. Maybe I just have low standards, or maybe I just have a bigger tolerance and interests. I don't really know. But I think it's unfair to say most suck balls, it just makes me wonder how much music you listen too. Really talented singers are far and few in-between, but it's not like there isn't anything between that and being absolutely horrible.

They only kind of vocalists that I can be really bothered with are same-voice vocalists who can only sing one type of song or always sound exactly the same. I just find it frustrating, and I feel like telling them "do something different for once geez it won't kill you".

Yes. Not the specific albums, but those Touhou arrange garage rock bands with instrumentals that range from bad to decent, only to be totally ruined by some guy who really shouldn't be singing?

I kinda like listening to those albums at least once, just to get a taste of that diversity of quality that comes out of Touhou arrangers. I also admire them for trying, despite everything.

Haters gonna hate but I'm not too fond of lily-an. Hard to say why, but her voice just sounds sorta strained. It's not like I hate her, and Liz Triangle has a bunch of really good songs, but I think there are other vocalists who have more appealing voices.

I like instrumental tracks, but for me, most vocals make the songs better.
Yes, there are also many disastrous singers, but even when they're clearly not professional-level, I tend to like them after some songs. Fuyuki Tenge is one of my favorites, even if it's understandable some may not like her at all.
