Hello /jp/,

I have started learning Japanese and was wondering where I should go once I get hiragana and katakana down.

I've been using memrise.com and it's fucking fantastic for learning the hiragana and katakana but I'm not sure if there are any decent word lists and I'm fairly certain it won't help me with grammar and stuff.

So where do I go next?

Thanks,
Anonymous

Someone here must be able to give some insight!

We're able, just not willing.

Why is that? If it's because this question is asked a huge amount you should at least have some copypasta to post.

Sigh....
Copy pasted from a thread some days ago, since archive fucked up recently I don't know if it's saved somewhere else:

>1) hiragana / katakana flashcard sites like realkana.com (3-4 days)
2) anki + kanjidamage/Remeber the Kanji (100-130 days)
3) Tae Kim's grammar guide (2 weeks)
4) Profit !!!

By your logic, you should also be able to look it up in the archives instead of shitting up this place further.

You expect these people to know of the archive?

Could you elaborate on "Remember the Kanji"?

Is this a good list? http://www.memrise.com/set/10005705/japanese-kanji-radicals/download_xls/

It claims to be the "150 basic building blocks of Kanji".

Please just delete the thread and go browse the archive already. There's a fuckton of copypasta available on the subject in the hundreds of threads we've had.

They have a functional brain, don't they?

Well, with the archive drama of late, maybe this toolbox doesn't think we have one anymore.

>> No.8087698

googling "jp archive" just brings up a site with only these threads http://4chanarchive.org/brchive/archive.php5?board=JP archived.

I was always going to delete this thread once I found the information I wanted.

I just wanted to ask about that memrise list in particular as I'm finding it a brilliant way to learn the alphabets.

Trust me, give up. These people are at a Chris-Chan level sperg where anything Japanese beyond their niche interests incites rage, sage and reporting. The list >>8087671 provided was relatively comprehensive and further elaboration isn't necessary. The building blocks have been lain. It's all up to you now.
