PD is actually easier to set up and maintain, just have the ports forwarded and the unity cache at at least 2gb. Share needs no unity but you have to keep up with the 5 cluster keywords you want to use.

PD is slow. Really slow, no way around that. The unity is basically the cache. It's only use is for storing cache of files that you are downloading. It also has an added benefit of not clearing the cache, which means that as long as you did not delete your unity folder, you will be able to ``Redownload" a file you downloaded earlier in only a few seconds. I have my unity set to 200 GB and I tend to increase it as I reach the limit. And yes, first time you download the base unity stuff, it will take a long time. Just let it go, it knows what it's doing. Unity size does not affect download speed, but it does affect overall program performance/response time, I think.

Well, both Hong and yuyucow quit some upload threads ago due to ingratitude as well as the various spiteful posts. Other individual posters quit as well or even removed their mediafire upload posts like that recent one answering the person's request for SFW doujins. The various SFW doujins in that multimediafire posting were pretty good and of big sizes and color. So they were quite collectible. Too bad they are gone now after various spiteful people posted hate instead of thanks.

C) Decrease the prohibitively high costs of importing things from doujin events

In the end, most of the circles at comiket aren't in it for commercial gain anyway, and the handful that are typically manage to send out their C&D letters anyway. There's no need for some uninvolved gaijin to try and protect their interests.

Sharing with anon is something that typically doesn't work out well, pretty much every scanlator, fansubber, uploader, and other contributor has learned that many times by now. At best, sharing elsewhere and then posting it here without waiting to see the response is kind of the best route. I've heard that excuse used far too many times. And when the prices were reduced, those very same people came up with other excuses to pirate.

Obviously, the items were desirable or else the piracy didn't occur. But there is no requirement to pirate the items in the first place. It's not food or water that is being withheld. But the pirates act as if the doujins were like air or water and scream bloody murder if doujins are withheld. And also post hate (negative thanks).

The sheer negative attitudes of most of the pirates shows their actual real attitude towards the issues in the prior upload threads that drove off Hong, yuyucow, and others.

I bought and uploaded one album that hadn't been. I'm not a contributor, nor do I think I'll ever have the resources to become one, but I really wanted the album and so did a lot of other people.
