It's a bit different than that. Basically it's 1990 era translations all over again where the name Tomoyo becomes Madison Taylor.

People should have evolved past this. Those are like the kind of things you saw back when translated manga was reprinted in the normal Western comic book size and the pages were flipped so you could read from left to right.
