I guess it could be like a typical fantasy RPG, but then a lot of the dating elements would be lost. Maybe it could be set in the real world and you have to do other everyday things. Like level up your social skills and become wealthier in order to attract less hideous bishoujos.

I would make my dream MMO.

A lot would be spent on character creation and modification. Male characters might be scrapped to keep down costs. It would be an open world, exploration, sandbox sort of game. Free world pvp anywhere and everywhere, no limitations. You would be able to build many things like in Minecraft, and even work like Minecraft in some ways. Well-built homes would be your protection, traveling only with what you can afford to lose. Would be single server, single channel. It would also have dating sim-like features, allowing you to romance monsters and take them home (these monsters are `monster girls`, of course), so I guess sort of like pet taming, only more involved. The combat will have to be well-done and be really fun action-based. Combat in this game would exhibit a low damage to HP ratio, this is so battles won't be about single-burst damage ganks where first to hit wins. It would reward technical skill. Game support would in the form of updates with more crafting recipies for items (such as weapons and cute clothes) and world expansion. Weapons and names won't be generic and boring, they would be well-researched because autism. And many more things.

Please excuse my no-paragraph-breaks post. I was just writing things down as I thought about them.

It would be a typical rpg game with a HUGE world and superior AI. There would be no instances, but monster infested areas would contain monsters that would act like players. They will form groups, level up, gain items and attack places their level where players and friendly npcs are. Every item that exists in game would have been made by someone, either a friendly item maker or a monster item maker.

Oh and there's always a 3:1 monster to player ratio, so players are always outnumbered. Combat would be very difficult and as realistic as possible with real hitboxes and stuff. There's also going to be a technology level per city and the higher that is, the more high tech weaponry they have and the easier combat is for them. Tech level isn't permanent though and can be erased and forgotten but rediscovered.

I would fire the original devs and remake cosmic break and take out the god awful gachapon shop and redo their shitty code. I would make it so charging money would not be a necessity and would only be for cosmetic stuff. I would then get a better server to host it in. Then I would nerf the fuck out of some of the bots or just outright erase them off the face of the earth.

Then I would put more content in like a better CTF and tower defense or just anything the community would want.

Really good story.
Open ending,
so you can continue building your country.
Unlockable towers with 1000 floors of original enemies/bosses.
Really long boss fights with animation.
You can take multiple roots.
Very customisable.

I have experience with writing cross platform applications. I really enjoy using SDL with C, but I think it's a bit more practical to use something like SFML with C++. I've also played around a little bit with Ogre3D/OIS/Bullet, but I prefer working on two dimensional projects. Finally, I do all of my development on Gentoo™ GNU/Linux.

Easy. I'd make an MMO like pre-Abyssea FFXI, only with viable soloing that's available to all classes. The endgame content was solid. There wasn't any whining about PvP nerfs ruining an aspect of PvE or vice-versa because there was no serious PvP. The main problem with the game was getting new people interested because if you didn't play the ideal class for getting invites, you simply didn't level up. Near the end, even unwanted classes (mostly) had a place in endgame. All the game needed was some better balance to make classes more desirable, and an option to grind levels effectively solo in level ranges where your class simply didn't get invites.

There was just something magical about how that game ran. Endgame progression was great, and if you worked hard for an amazing, rare piece of gear, even if it got completely replaced by something better a few years (yes, years. not months) down the road, it still was usually the second best and not much worse overall. The most challenging fights weren't hard because it all boiled down to a DPS race. It was almost always because of some boss mechanic that wasn't simply "spawn more non-CC'able adds" or "have it go into batshit insane one-shot your tank mode if the fight drags on too long". They had those, but they weren't literally all the hard encounters. The TP system, and how mobs abided by it too, added a further layer strategy. Basically, the more damage you did to mobs, the more dangerous they became. It was a constant balancing act between keeping pressure on the boss while keeping the back line's MP up, and the answer was rarely "throw more DPS at it".
