At first I thought Clarisse was pretty cute. She's gotten annoying lately, though. All she ever wants is some bullshit food or some annoying item. Those quests don't give a lot of XP either. In one quest she wanted a mask. You need to buy the mask with the happy points you get from the power hour. After that she wanted a lucky fortune which was "rare". I bought five fortunes for $20,000 and none of them were the one I needed, so I deleted the quest. Fuck your shit Clarisse.

This is actually true. Actual /jp/ guilds are pretty quiet except when partying together or asking questions.

Then there's the /a/ and /v/ types that join and get mad because no one talks to them. They usually leave fast, but if more like them join they will start talking to each other. Eventually they will outnumber the /jp/ers and the guild will change into the kind of guild you would expect from /v/ or /a/.

Clerics are pretty OP, especially with a good sidekick. Put DoTs on the mob, then move on to the next. Use aegis if you need, heal if you need. DoTs and your pet will kill mobs just fine. This is as light Cleric.

I haven't had trouble getting into groups yet.

Generic. Combat as I've seen it so far usually last faster then what I'm used too and I come out taking damage when I thought I stunned and killed the enemy before the could attack me.

I'm only level 20ish, but there doesn't seem to be too bad of a grind. Unless you consider taking all the quests a grind. I haven't ran out of XP quests yet, but.

Depends on your class. As a assassin I have one AoE skill so far. It has a pretty wide range, rather bad damage but still takes out like 1/4 of the hp bar. I think I could kill mobs if I just spammed it and ran, but I mostly used it to attract multi-aggro and bash with my single target damage.

I did that same thing and played today and got to level 30, but the majority of the guild is still ahead of me. Don't worry about that stuff, just have fun with it. There's plenty of us in lvl 30s and some even still in 20s.

Servers are back up, item mall is functional. I'm pretty disappointed, there's no clothes yet. It just seems to be things for the sake of convenience. I don't even think there's a category to sell. There's "Fashion", which only has dyes at the moment, "Service", which has the most items in at the moment. It's things like friend list expansion, character slot addition, backpack expansion, and talent and skill reset pills, return scrolls, ect. Just convenience items. Then there's "Entourage", which sells a mount, a mini-pet, and things for sidekick like skill resets, and non-combat skill books like treasure hunting, refining, and fusion lv2 books.

Checking the site, it seems like a flat $1 = 1000 beanpoints no matter how many you buy at once, with a $100 dollar limit every 30 days. You can apparently earn free points by completing surveys with bp's advertising affiliates. Seems a bit sketchy if you ask me.

I don't see anything that would put free to play players at a disadvantage. Not yet, at least. It'd be great if it stayed like this. Unless this version differs severely from the JP version I think it will stay pretty much the same. Seems like a cash shop done nicely.

What kind of sidekick would you guys go for on a guardian? I'm too afraid to randomly pick one based on skill descriptions alone and just pump stats for it, but it also feels like I'm missing out.

I've heard arguments for tanky ones to help hold aggro, any of the dps/caster ones and for the healing one as well.

Can they actually do decent damage/take hits, or will I just end up with something that has ignorable contribution and should have rolled with a heal-bot instead? I'll be playing with a cleric most of the time, so I assume additional heals while grinding would be overkill, but I'm clueless when it comes to instances.

Balance is still all over the place, Cras and Iops are OP as all hell, and Sadidas and Srams have been nerfed into oblivion. Ankama have revealed future updates to expand PvP, but knowing them, they'll probably fuck it up even worse.

Well it seems quests stop leveling you up and the grindfest starts at lvl 50, so this looks like a good stopping point. I had fun, I liked it more than spirit tales and eden eternal. I'll see all you guys in the next flavor of the month MMO.

I was really excited to play this game but here are a few problems I ran into:

-Male Hairstyles severely lacking
-When using a resolution higher than 1024x768 I get my monitor constantly blinking (Someone else reported this in the forums with no response). This happens in both window mode and full screen
-When rotating the camera with the right mouse button it has a tendency to flick around and mess up constantly.
-Couldn't work out the stat system and couldn't even find the divine wheel
-INT apparently is useless and I (think) I put a bunch of stat points on INT.
-WASD controls feel very blocky and lame. If anyone has played Flyff they might know what I mean.

I desperately want to like this game.

There's also Dream Drops on the horizon which looks to be the next kawaii MMORPG.

I still think it's still fun at 55, although it seems like a bit more grinding is needed every few levels. For example say I needed to do a bit of grinding to get to 53. Once I hit that level there were enough quests to get me to 54 with no grinding. The grinding isn't horrible, however. There are repeatable quests that let you get some xp (about 1% of a level per quest turned in) and tokens for clothes as rewards for killing certain monsters. There are also dailies that give some nice xp but are limited to once a day. The happy hour thing lets you get more clothes and items too, but that's limited to 60 minutes per day. If you're a tank or healer or you've got a guild you can always run dungeons.

I think I'm in this game for the long haul especially since it's fair for free players. There's always lots of events happening throughout the day incase I get bored of leveling too.

And for those wondering, clothes in this game don't give stats at all. You only get stats from accessories (rings, necklaces, ect), weapons, and the Divine Wheel (a wheel thing with 5 slots for keys that give stats). I think this is really nice because there are a lot of cute clothes out there and it would suck to have gimped stats on them if they did give stats.
