I once said that train-otaku were nutjobs. I really was not kidding at the time.

i kinda like trains, i can see the appeal in them. I wouldn't go crazy over them but I don't see the problem. I wish trains weren't so demolished in the states. Railway stations for transport is probably the most efficient way of transportation.

It's a parody/knock-off of this video:

Probably viral marketing or attention whoring.

I'd be way more impressed to see the UP 1989, anyway.

"Oh this guy acted ridiculous, I'll do the same thing in jest."

On 1chan they're saying it's an executive with the line, and one of the people there has met him:

For all you train fanatics out there, is japan the holy land for you guys? Riding on trains is a daily thing and I'm sure theres a large variety to see easily.

>> No.9518602

>>9518595
That's pretty much what I'm guessing, too. We have more important things to do, like ensuring everyone in Britain has 2 Mbit/s broadband by the end of the year.

But this would actually be useful and cool. People go on about commuting via public transport, but it's difficult and often slow at the moment.
I rode the Metro for the first time in my life a few days ago, and I was amazed how efficient it was. No social interaction, no delays, you just hop on them hop off. I wish buses and trains could be the same way.

I used to play MtG with an autistic guy. He was a maths student, and he kept coming up with all these crazy decks that would do strange things I didn't understand like deal damage based on the squares of primes, or draw cards according to some tree algorithm. I never followed a word of it, but he was happy to explain it to me and it was all very scary.

It's supposed to be a top player's deck. I can't imagine a Stormtide Leviathan and a Rewind being played in the same turn in a mono-blue control Standard deck. Also, she's just cheating, because she has a Ponder in her fucking Post-M13 Standard deck.

You already can. HS1, going between London and the Channel Tunnel, has been running for a while now. You can get Eurostar trains that run from St Pancras to Paris. HS2 is the one that's still being worked on, which will run from London up to Birmingham, then onto Manchester and Leeds.
