Well, you only use onii-san to refer to someone else's older brother in conversation - your own older brother would be called ani.

We just went over this in my Japanese class. It works like this:

Your own family:
haha - mother
chichi - father
imouto - little sister
ototo - little brother
ane - older sister
ani - older brother

another's family:

It's a katana, not a lightsaber. From a metallurgical standpoint, the craftsmanship of a katana is offset by the poor quality of the local iron ores; advanced forging techniques were necessary in feudal Japan simply to drive out all the impurities found in the raw iron there.

I think it would end in a stalemate, unless one had inordinately high skill in comparison to the other. The samurai has a somewhat superior close-quarters weapon, focus, and mobility - but, unlike the samurai, the knight is taught to block, has greater reach with his weapon, and usually has a shield to cover his unarmed side. Ranged combat might be interesting, but again we're talking training with a bow vs. shield block potential.

ITT: realism in unrealistic fights.

Technically, in the US, it's a federal crime to fap while in prison (though the enforcement of the rule is sporadic). Something about inmates having used it in the past as a form of harassment towards female guards passing their cells.

The more you know.

But they look more like daggers in the game and in fanon, so it would probably make more sense to treat them as such (1d4 damage, 10ft range increment).

Boxing is good and all, but it won't help you if your opponent is far away. That's why those of us who know how to fight make sure we know how to use our legs, too. Nothing ends a fight like a good, solid side kick to the gut.
