So; which gameboard does this apply to?

Obvious loophole is obvious.

Were there any new Touhou figs shown? Nendoroid Petit especially.

That was a Tea Party and blatantly part of the meta verse.

>>6710227

Yes, because everyone stayed perfectly still during that scene. Or Shannon spent the whole time hiding behind Erika in whatever it was Battler saw.

When you try to imagine it actually happening, it sounds retarded. If she was there, she was there.

We only had a B/W(read: GREEN) monitor though, was always pissed about how much cooler it looked on the box.

At the same time some games like Ravenskull looked hideous in colour, but kind of neat in a gameboyish way in green.

I think my first STG was one called "Firetracker" on the Acorn BBC Micro.

I'm fucking oldschool.

Nice pedobait body you have there, Lambda.

If you want to be epic, swap Reimu and Suika's faces. They don't fit 100% but they look hilarious.

I like the way ZUN shades and colours things, and he's not bad at detailing certain things.

It looks like he's getting better finally as of UFO anyway.

Yeah, pretty fucking excited. Might actually start using it again.

This is great as there's a bunch of sets of Touhou figures where I only want a few of them lately, so hopefully it'll save me a bunch of cash, plus I need to use a middleman service anyway.

It never said when she died, regardless.

Also, I think Beatrice 2 was probably still alive similar to how she was in Leon's Kakera. It never verified when she died in Episode 3; I believe Rosa's memory could have been mistaken, or Nanjo could have prepared a fake corpse in an attempt to get her off the Island.

Battler's sin could have been making the much older Beatrice fall in love with him, and the conversation in Episode 6 is between Beato II and III.

The glitching could be because Kanon isn't on the Island, so it's impossible to fulfill.

I came up with the idea a while back that Shanon and Kanon are seperate people but due to their physical similarities cover for each other if one stays home sick or goes off on an adventure. There's actually some hints to this in Episode 2 where Shanon talks about covering Kanon's share of the work.

Only one of the couples can be fulfilled because only one of the cousins can solve the epitath and escape to Kuwadorian. Since the presence of one or two of the Three might fate the other one or two today(depending if the bomb or off island circumstances kill them), they only have a "part of a soul" each; they have a kind of quantum life between them.

It could be the fact that 2 out of the 3 Kanon, Shannon and Beatrice(Yasu?) are on the island at once during the game. Some circumstances at the start of the game dictate which ones actually end up there.

I can't solve the "imaginary person" thing the stake sisters talk about, but that needs to be resolved anyway since Shannon appears in that kakera.

This is a much better solution IMO than the DID bullshit.

The different methods of the witches reminds me a lot of different search heuristics(which are the central factor of, for example, a Chess playing AI).

Bern exhausts all different possibilities for her example; but there's a guarantee she'll find her answer. As long as the answer exists.

Lambda always plays the apparently "Best" moves; this could be interpreted as hill climbing. However; this suffers the problem of the local maxima; it finds the highest point and doesn't dip.

Beatrice purposefully doesn't chose the "correct" move and is purposefully unpredictable; her way of doing things is a bit like "Simulated Annealing". It is used to get around the problem of local maxima.

I could be misremembering as it's been a while since I've done AI, but it's something that lept out at me with the Chess references and philosophies of the 3 witches.

Why is it When They Cry 3 then?

If it was just a spiritual sequel, why do new "versions" of the characters play such a huge role?

But at the same time those "versions" of the characters aren't like, Ultimate Marvel or something, they seem to be evolutions of older ones.

It just makes no sense for them to be separate characters.

17,18,19 in general keep recurring.

I think people are missing the point that Umineko is a mystery in Umineko...

Auau probably wrote Higurashi just like she wrote about the Rokkenjima mystery.

Also, I think people are maybe missing the mark on Auau "writing" episode 3 onwards. I think it could be more she has a way of seeing what's happening in the meta verse and writes her interpretation of it, rather than the games we play actually being "written" by her literally.

If that's true, then that's probably how Higurashi ends up as a book in the Umineko verse. Either way Okonogi clearly has a much bigger role.

What will When They Cry 5 be like? What kind of setting could it have? What characters will turn up, possibly as new versions?

I don't see Lambda and Bern having time to be fully resolved in Ep 8, so I think they could be the characters looming over the series.

It's probably not too long away now, Umineko is finished for Christmas and it'll only be a while after that until the next one, if he decides to do it.

Yeah, a lot of people wrote it off as a cameo but it's pretty obviously significant now. Not to mention Auau appeared in the same ep.

It's When They Cry 3/4 for a reason.

It's still kind of irrelevant; the point was that nobody knew the significance of the ring, there were no real clues to it's true nature, just as there were no real clues as to what was happening in Higurashi.

Actually, Higurashi had more; with Frederika's presence. There was obviously something a bit more going on.

The Hobbit never mentioned anything about Sauron!

Well; the Tsukihime one wasn't canon :/

Either way I don't think the actual Rei disc says much about the Rika/Bern relationship in the way people are saying. I don't know where the collection of failed rikas thing comes from.
