Not entirely true, I've done editing and written pieces for people for free in the past. As a journalist I have to suck it up and get kicked in the balls by my editors plenty as it is, so it's not like I'm all LOL NO IT HAS TO BE MY WAY. Well, unless it's something borderline retarded like "She's the MC's ghost cousin but is actually his cyborg imouto from the future."

But anyway, yeah, I'd need to know things are planned out and the project actually has some realistic potential.

Maybe I'll write a short story for that Lucetta girl.

I gave up on it. I just don't have the patience, time or money to produce the kind of quality content the story deserves.

Just kidding. I finished the Julie route a couple of weeks ago. Still hoping to make it by Summer Comiket, although I haven't heard back from my artist in a while. No idea how to make an installer but I'm working on it.

Too many characters. Too much stuff. Too ambitious with too little talent. This might get finished in a studio, but not on /jp/.

Why don't you just do a different short story for each of them and release them gradually (if you need to use them all--Lu's the only interesting one anyway)? You'd want each of them to contribute to some bigger "meta-story" though.

It's too bad no one wanted to do anything with this. This girl was cute.

Did she even have a name?

Seriously. Fuck off everyone. Wait for the godamn fandisc in silence. It'll get here. And it'll be pretty good. I think. I've announced shit on the site. Stop making threads about this. Go to the site. Read it. And no, I don't want an email.

I'm so sick of getting emails/messages about the fucking rewrite. Leave me alone. Being a shut-in is hard enough--I don't like or want attention. I'm writing. Godamnit.

Tl;dr Have a great day, /jp/.

>4-5 times larger than the original Dandy Girl

It won't be that much longer just because of the story. The two scenarios aren't extremely lengthy (probably about the same length as the original route) and Julie's route is more a matter of fixing up and adding some scenes.

The TIPS and graphical changes make up most the increase. I guess it would be closer to 2-3 times as big, now that I really think about it. Four or five is a bit of an exaggeration.

>Why do you want to remake Dandy Girl?

It's something I've been working on for a while, now. Only recently have I decided to announce it. Originally I was going to wait longer to do a remake, but because of my second point, which is....

>will this affect Dusk Episode 1's release?

The Dusk VN is pretty much dead. My artist hasn't been able to make anything and my staff has been silent for months. I've been the only one working, basically. Dandy Girl was simple and easy enough to do by myself, but something like that isn't, and I do have several jobs. About a month ago I started a light novel version of Episode One, which is basically the same story plus a bit more content, plus illustrations and omake. I played around with the idea of a radio drama CD as well, but I don't know any voice actors.

I'll release the novel for free online, but you'll have the option to buy it too. This is really all I can afford to do with the time/resources I have available.

>Then it can hardly be called a fandisc.

Good point I guess. I guess you'd call it a remake, then?

>You keep repeating this, so just to make sure: You know that was announced on April 1st, right?

Actually I didn't hear about it until AFTER the 1st. Duly noted.

Cat's out of the bag, huh? People keep talking about it here and there (along with this KS shit EVERYWHERE, but it's nearing it's official release so I guess that's to be expected) so I may as well confess as to what's going on.

- Expansion/Fan disc is in the works, yes.

- New text display, new TIPS menu with a lot of authentic/fanon/canon stuff including info about Robert F. Young and his other writing.

- Reworked a lot of the writing in the main storyline (Mark doesn't sound like a lovesick faggot anymore, Julie is more... interesting) added/adding a lot of extra scenes.

- New soundtrack with some remixes of old songs (Cold Funk perhaps?).

- Anne has a "route" and there are choices sprinkled here and there. Some effect the ending, some just make more TIPS pop up. The size of the fan disc will probably be 4-5 times larger than the original Dandy Girl.

The artist is undecided. It may be Maydough, who did work for Dusk, or it may be a woman I know personally. Either way the project will be complete before Summer Comiket. Period.

Not really looking to discuss it, just say it so that people will stop speculating on it and trolling/making theories.

I won't be buying KS on Steam or paying for KS currency. Ten bucks is ridiculous. For the last time, I have no affiliation with Mugen whatsoever.

This thread is still alive? Seriously?

>> No.7151146 [View]

I can't tell whether this thread is full of genuine curiosity or full of trolling. But I'll bite the hook anyway I guess.

As for the Dusk project, I'm not sure where it's going at the moment. I haven't gotten much support (I wouldn't say 0, but my staff is pretty slim and most of the people are uncooperative/lazy, though not all) so it's been pretty staggering. Like someone said earlier in the thread, I'm just a writer, not a leader. Some of the people who browse /jp/ know me in real life, unfortunately, and they can testify to that...

Anyway, I do plan on writing the mysteries as a series of light novels. The novels will be relatively short. I don't have much (ie: any) money to hire people to do work on a timeline, so my resources are limited. I'm probably going to publish them through an order-website (only prints copies when requested) and use that money to contract people for other projects. I'd still like to make a VN, but the task is simply too big for me to handle on my own. I can't program, write, grab music, test, etc. all on my own.

I'm flattered to hear people enjoyed and still enjoy Dandy Girl, though. Although some stuff happened while I was writing it and progress was slowpoke.jpg I had a lot of fun doing it and the people I worked with were competent.

Anyway, that's enough from me. I hate using a tripcode. I have more porn to write.

It's depressing that someone decided to make a thread that just says "It's dead, right?"

And I'm always lurking. You're Chris, right? Fucker.

Saging because this is a useless thread.
