I think the best way to start is to learn anatomy. Google can probably fish up some sites pertaining to that.

Gesture drawing is also important for noting down the human form. I use this site

Well, if you want to get somewhere you have to make an effort to get there. Learning anatomy, practising, experimenting and all that is part of the package on the path to drawing even remotely well, but that shouldn't stop you from trying if you are really enthusiastic about it.

...but a hobby is a hobby. If you don't enjoy it, there's no sense in pursuing it. At least, that's what I think.
