Do what I did and brute force your knowledge with Rikaichan, a kana chart, and Tae Kim.

Also get out of Jacksonville.

So what happened to this thing anyway. Don't tell me it got all fucked up - oh wait, it probably did.

It's a nice demo, but it needs more potential...more characters, and more interesting stuff, and also needs to not be anime.

1. Download and unzip honnoro_1 folder
2. Download and unzip onscripter-en folder
3. Download and move default.ttf to honnoro_1
4. Move contents of onscripter.en to honnoro_1
5. Run onscripter exe

I must be doing something wrong. D:

Mm, I got something I found and want to try my hand at translating. It's partly a matter of extracting text and replacing it with English...tho it's probably more complicated than I make it sound.

What are the tools I'd need?

OP, you wouldn't mind teaching me how to get working on translating VNs and games and the like, would you? I've always wanted to learn how and I got a few things I'm itching to break open right now. If you've got any resources/links as to how to get started, anyway!

It's 裏返し, not 返し. Don't forget the "ura"!

Anyway I've reached the point where I stop making sense so it's sleep time. Good night!

Now that I think about it, either of the lines for the last one would work. Up to you.

>その後ぼくは、警察をどうごまかせばいいんだよ。
Mm, I'm not so sure about that... well, lemme think it through. ごまかす = to deceive, falsify, misrepresent; paired with the rest of the sentence (警察, どう, etc.) Uujima is wondering how he is supposed to deceive the police. From how I interpret it, he knows of Irisu's involvement in the trip and if he's the only one left, after suspicion is cast on him and he inevitably denies it, the police will want to know who it really was if it wasn't Uuji, which would lead to either Uuji or Irisu getting arrested, which means that they're unable to be together, which means that the only way for Irisu and Uujima to be together would be either for Uujima to not go on the trip and take himself entirely out of the picture, or he would have to be killed as well in order for Irisu to not get arrested, which results in not being with Irisu anyway, and if he doesn't go on the trip, then that casts suspicion on Irisu since she is the only one who could have been there that isn't killed. Therefore, there's potentially no way for the plan to work. I see it more as if he's criticizing Irisu's plan rather than fearing for his own safety, basically.

I'm glad you liked my revision! And truth be told, after I compared my script to yours, it ended up being very similar, so I doubt that it's an issue of difference in skill (tho it's always good to keep practicing!). A lot of translation depends on the interpretation and writing style of the translator among many other factors, which is why machine translation doesn't work nearly as well.

>自分を評価しても良いかもしれない。
I'm not entirely sure of the usage of 評価 here, but I think it means something like self-assessment in this situation - like "check yourself", in a way, but that's just how I interpret it.

>くれぐれも不自然な態度をみせないようにお願いします。
It sounds more here like Irisu is in more of a pleading/requesting tone of voice than a thankful one, IMO.

>ウサギと、あの女の子の仲を邪魔してしまわない時間を選んだ。
You might have a point on this one!

>あの傷だらけのウサギのこと、せめてぼくだけは深く心に刻みつけたま
まで
いよう。
That's what I tried to do as well. I'm not sure how well I succeeded.

>これもぼくへの想いの裏返しのようなもので、とても嬉しい。
ぼくへの想い = feelings for me --> ぼくへの想いの裏返し = reversal of feelings for me --> ぼくへの想いの裏返しのようなもの = something that is the reversal of feelings for me --> ぼくへの想いの裏返しのようなものでとても嬉しい = happy about something that is the reversal of feelings for me --> これもぼくへの想いの裏返しのようなもので、とても嬉しい。 = happy about this thing too that is the reversal of feelings for me
^ I'll admit...this is kind of a stretch. I wasn't happy with that line at all, to be honest.
