I asked for the middle ground between the sometimes cartoonishly big meaty claws/paws and human sized hands and feet. Overall I was about 90% satisfied with the picture I got in the OP, so not quite 100%. There was a language barrier to struggle with while discussing things with the artist. I didn't quite get the balanced feet and hands I was looking for, but that's my fault for not being perfectly clear on that.

Crocodile. As in an actual crocodile inside a steel cage. For there to be actual monsters in my setting, you'd need to go much further back. Back by about 200 (at most 300) years since that guy was a kid. I've always pinned rose sharing more alike with a crocodile for her monstrous parts rather than say a monitor lizard.
