You must run exe with data directory parameter exactly as that bat file does. Just using applocale will not work.
Also if you have corrupted game data files in some way or updated half of the game, it will fail.

Run it using .bat file with this:
C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch\AppLoc.exe "ai sp@ce.exe" ".\\data\\" /L0411
(or create shortcut like that)

NPC texts are send on-line from server, so they can't be translated without some very hard network protocol hacking (it's not impossible, but it would need 2-3 weeks of "free" time I don't have).

you need:
a) Use APPLOCALE set to Japanese
and
b) Set in Reginal settings control panel / Tab Regional options / Standards and formats to Japanese
There is NO NEED to have entire system language and non-unicode language set to Japanese to run it correctly.

Rar with data files added to wiki page, READ included readme.

Looks like translating anything beyond str_table.csv is useless. None of that manu/menumain/base_select/filter files are used.

Imported str_tab translation, it works but it's like 10% of texts... want me to upload it somewhere?

Also don't use commas in translated text, files are in CSV format so it starts new column...

Before updating, you will need to restore files back... but all this can be handled by simple script or bat file.
I found no detection of changed data files in the game exe and there is no GameGuard or anything like it.

Would it be that hard to keep string ID that's at start of each line? That would allow me to import it automatically instead of ctrl-c/v it one line at a time...

yes, I can replace files in packs with my own.
I already tried translating few blocks in main CSV file and tried it... works perfectly.
