My first job was working for subway, literally across town, so it was a 30-45 minute bike ride. But all of my coworkers were cool. The owner of the store was a family freind and weight lifting partner. Never got a check, i did get stubs for tax reasons but i was paid in DOSH. Felt good.
I was 14 and kids in my grade would laugh at me biking. Id just tell them i have more money than their mommy and daddy will give them and kept going.

And ex homeless here. After i graduated HS last year my mom went apeshit and kicked me and my father out. My father had unemployment because his contractor laid him off a few months prior, so he stayed in one of those heartbreak hotels. But i was staying in the streets of downtown minneapolis for months. Was bad at first but the summers in MN are great so i could easily go look for a jorb. Given i had to wash clothes at the river and bathe at the river but hey. I'm alive, in arizona, and about to move into an apartment in a few days. Shit is looking up. Hell, i have time off in september so i can see my father for his birthday in MN. If youre not a pussy you can handle your own on the streets.

If you're a giant wimp and made of vaginas i guess you could move to a city that is cushy for homeless like san fran or seattle.

All i can say is dont be afraid to stoop to big corporate retailers. Depending on each store they can be cool. My store is p. bro and my department manager is awesome.

tl;dr dont worry be happy

Good skills with ships, you will prob either be a janitor or cook, so get HVAC certification and maintenance certification. Food handlers card and some cooking skill. Passport most importantly. Good customer service skills as well. And just be able to start conversations with cruisegoers casually.
So basically you have to be a skilled person who isn't an autist.

Don't be afraid to take public transit. I currently am using public transit to get to and from work until i can buy a beater car. Unless you live in the sticks or in a small town then I would say find someone to carpool with.

Depends on where you live and that kind of thing.
Try to have open availability because employers love when someone can work anytime.
Target fast food is decent but can be tiring. Don't sell yourself short, and always be persistent with your follow up. Call daily until they ask you to stop calling them.

People assume a neutral answer = anti social autist
Thusly the assessments treat you as such.
The biggest one on the tests is "I like to go to events with large groups of people". If you don't answer strongly agree then oops you lost the test. No job for you.

Gotta stoop to corporate retailers.
If you're willing to bear the pain, Wal Mart always needs cashiers. And with online apps, 9/10 times everything rides on the assessment. Always be polar with your answers. Neutral responses are almost an automatic disqualification.

Five years and your own church doesn't seem too bad. I mean I'm sure that you might have to fund the building and all that stuff but hey. Only five years of study and you get your own business? Doesn't sound bad imo

You'll be completely safe when the Chinese decide to invade America. Except when they launch nukes, unless you live in the middle of nowhere deep in the woods or far in the desert.

To each his own. But I actually made top sales in my department this month.
Speaking of apparently drug addicts came at 2:15 yesterday morning and stole some laptops from the display. Ballsy motherfuckers to pry that display case in broad camera view.

You're actually right.
I just shut myself in the room with two one-gallon jugs of water, 2 packs of smokes, and a fan. My cousin doesn't see me until morning.
