I would assume that most of the nasty mail she got was in reference to the trap stuff. If you're really concerned about her justification of how she spends her hobby time, I'm sure you can dig up more specific information.

Udk is female, and has always had to deal with a ration of shit because she puts out doujins that hit a male demographic. This shit finally pushed it over the edge to the point where she no longer felt like it was worth it. She's dropping both the Abgrund and the Udk pen names and starting with a new name, and dropping the trap subject matter. It seems fair enough to me, doujinshi don't bring much money, and a hobby where everyone treats you like shit doesn't sound like much fun.

No one uploaded it, and apparently there were enough copies left over that Izna tweeted that it'd be for sale at C81 as well. We're all hoping some uploader picked up a copy at C81 or something, I guess.

That would be the hope, otherwise I would hesitate to post only reuploads like that. We need to keep things rolling though, there's plenty of good stuff that we're all waiting warmly for.

P*Light - Are You Happy?

This, and the two electro planet releases, are reuploads of shit from Doujincore, I figured getting it somewhere that wouldn't get deleted in seven days would be nice (plus it's kind of shitty saving them one song at a time from DC). The Diverse System is a rip from a user at Doujinstyle.

I just saw the original post of this was aimed for me... it was the day before my birthday, too. Thanks anon, even though it took many months for the thought to reach me.

You know, I sat behind a guy that looked like ZUN at a panel, and I thought it was kind of funny that some gaijin trash looked like him...

Do you actually work with WTDND? If so, just drop me an email and I'll send you along to the guy that raw provides for me some of the time and you can see if he's interested in hooking you up. Otherwise, I may do it myself, but it'd be a month or more until I had the cash spare.

The fuck is the deal with this, is this someone I should bother helping out:

I'm not excited enough to follow the manga for a VN series I've already read, but if this is a legitimate hold up in getting releases out, I really don't mind tracking down raws for them, it just seems a little sketch somehow.

Oh, I came down from that area too. In lieu of the marked up Miku merch, I just snagged one of the event posters that Toyota was giving out in front of the venue, they were pretty nice (they were for Mikunopolis, and didn't have Toyota shit plastered all over them).

I actually knew a guy who was on unemployment who would pay his rent, buy ramen, and then blow the rest on figures every month. Pretty serious dedication there.

They'd been dragging those signed ABe doujins around since Sakuracon. I'm glad they finally sold the last of them, it made me sad that thousands of American "fans" walked past them at cons for several months and didn't even have a clue what a find they were.

Nope. There's a lot of humor to be had in how expensive the Touhou and Vocaloid franchises are, especially at a con, but I didn't go to Last Comic Standing. You know the weeaboo shirts that 14 year olds wear that claim anime is more expensive than a crack habit? Yeah, they haven't even heard of this shit, their allowances couldn't handle it.

Nothing worth having gets marked down significantly. One booth marked down some of their Griffon touhou stuff and some of the nendos, and it was still 15% over what I'd be willing to pay, even considering the fact that I'd be skipping out on shipping costs. The stuff that gets heavy markdowns is the shit no one wants, so that stupid 14 year olds will buy it and think they got a good deal on something. Also, if it's worth having, there typically aren't more than one or two of it at a US dealers' hall... Out of the hundreds of vendors, there was a handful of Touhou figs, and the only ones that there were multiple of were recently released nendos. The doujin sellers tended not to have more than one or two copies of anything. Anything Vocaloid that isn't still in stock online for much cheaper either wasn't available in the hall or was 125% of its price on auction sites. The only thing you can do at these dealers' halls is to go in knowing exactly what's worth how much, and buy it immediately if the vendor doesn't realize and is actually undercharging for once (that happens a lot at Sakuracon, that's why I ended up without much spending money at AX).
