If you have a lot of time ahead of you in smaller chunks? Umineko.

Personally, I like F/SN so far, but I too have only played the first ep of Umineko. I am told 2 and 3 are even better, and I'm starting 2, like... right now.

The only thing I can think of I'd call 'fake difficulty' is not being able to turn around in mid-air while you're flying. That bugs me a little, but the rest of it is just part of the game.
