Can someone explain how to interperret the kuyomi at http://www.hellodamage.com/kanjidicks/newframes.htm ?

I tried to read his explenation but it isnt' much help. For example, the first one, is it the ＊is the subsitute for Ichi? Meaning the kunyomi for one is 一つ？

I think I get it now. You use Kunyomi for stuff such as a specific person, like Johnny, a planet like Venus, stuff like that, but Onyomi is when you describe something thats not suppose to stand out, such as person or planet.

Im still confused.

Some of them dont even have kunyomi's, such as 子 (child), what the hell is up with that? And why is it that the onyomi for child is Shi. So the word for child is Shi? Why the fuck are all kanji words such small words? Like how the word for rape is Kan?

Ok, so let me get this straight, you use Kunyomi for one word kanjis, and proper nouns, and Onyomi for compound words, when you put kanji together in a sentence?
