You just went to a very stupid place and probably should follow your own advice.

Thanks for making me realize I never read the History of Metafalss entry, didn't even notice that until you mentioned EXEC_VISIONDANCE=SOCKET/. in that last sentence. Yay, something to do at work tomorrow~

Besides that, that explanation does make a lot sense. Why I didn't look at it from that direction is beyond me, considering I have to work with that stuff from time to time. Thanks for that~

...but seriously, are you Aquagon? I haven't seen anyone else with that much understanding of the whole system and the thought that there'd actually be another one like that is kinda scaring me...

>setting stuff
True enough, I didn't think that far just now. Considering the Origins couldn't even reproduce
until creepy Tyria modifications
, it -is- unlikely the engineers would think of something like that.

>premissions stuff
True true, but that's not the point. The problem is that the tower assumes that something does have those privileges, _while there is actually nothing on the reyvateil that tells the tower it should have them_. Granted that won't make the whole system collapse.
...actually I think we're kinda talking about different things now, I just can't exactly pinpoint where it started.

>growth stuff
I was listing those purely to show that hymn code generation isn't the sole reason for the D-Cellophane. I should've specified that this is only true for Purebloods (and β-types in particular).

...I'm starting to think you're actually Aquagon and you're just trying to troll me. Which'd be a shame, because I have huge respect for that guy for making all this understandable for us non-Moon readers/speakers.</spoiler>
>>8383403
Actually, sorry, I misread that:
>These Reyvateils do not have a proper D-Cellophane, and as such do not get assigned hymn codes from the tower.

In fact, they don't have a D-Cellophane at all unless someone installs one into them. If they don't have one, it -is- a song server (read: Tower) error:
>There are some exceptions though, such as Reyvateils that have the Hymn Code of another Reyvateil because of a system error on the Song Servers, or Reyvateils that are using the β-ER technique (the D-Cellophane).</spoiler>

>> No.8383403 [View]
>>8383266
Look how you said the same thing though:
>[...]and as such do not get assigned hymn codes from the tower.

Also:
>It's because of this that it's also used for creating the Hymn Code identifier that all of the Pureblood Reyvateils have.
Yes, it is _needed_ to create a hymn code. No, it is not its only responsibility. Besides that, it also is needed to link a reyvateil to her cosmosphere and it's responsible for making her grow. See link for full explanation, etc.
Admittedly, how hymn codes are created in the end isn't clearly explained. Since it is basically a key to access tower functions (enables the reyvateil to sing extract-type songs), the tower must at least be aware of its creation. There's so much thought behind the whole Artoneli-verse, I doubt something as stupid as "yeah, well, Third Gens just get random garble from that" would sneak in.

The genes part was wrong however, yes. I'm not all that good with the whole H and D waves thing and like to mess them up, so excuse me. Just thought I read about that once.</spoiler>

>Bonus Explanation: The Relationship Between Aurica and Mir

>Aurica's Static H-Waves are unexpectedly similar to Mir's Spectrum Gene, even up to her High Frequency Waves. Because in the Hymn Code zone both had very similar wavelengths, Mir was able to easily open up Aurica's [Boundary Gate], and in that way, she materialized viruses using Aurica' mind as a intermediary during her visit to the Musical Corridor, and also, projected the model data of Goddess Tylia inside of her Cosmosphere. When Shurelia said that [Probably Aurica has a hole in her mind], she was referring to their similar wavelengths. This also means that Mir and Aurica don't share any kind of relationship.

Old entry from the Ar Tonelico wiki, translated and maintained by Aquagon (who, if anyone besides the devs themselves, is the one to know this stuff). So if anything, everyone was partially right, just not completely.
I have yet to find that part again in the updated version, it seems to have vanished. If that's the case because it was wrong, then there doesn't seem to be a translated reason at all right now...
</spoiler>

>> No.8378681 [View]
>>8378228
Kinda like that. The Tower mistook her for Mir because their genes were very similar (probably because of what you said, I can't really remember the reason) and assigned her hymn code to Aurica.

So basically, Shurelia was lonely and wanted a new Mir!</spoiler>

Surely you mean "normal end", because it's literally impossible to get true end in one playthrough.
Since you need all other ends first, then play again. Unless you mean you did it all on one save, that should work.

I don't mind the missing voices then, if it's just that. See previous posts for the reasons.

I'll go as fast as saying that not everything HAS to be voiced, especially when it's just stuff like some of the synthesis scenes. Non-voiced story parts is a no-no, obviously.
...I would have liked some more voiced Filly though, so much HNNNG.

Anyway, I guess I'll leave this to die, since the STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE crew got too strong over the last few threads.

>> No.8219108 [View]

I didn't notice any cut lines in Totori (switched to Japanese voices a few times on unvoiced English parts) and I think the English voices fit the characters a lot better, considering the setting in general.

Also, dat PREPARE YOURSELF!

You'd be surprised how many dubs out there are quite good.

...but the English dub for Rorona AND Totori is quite enjoyable. In fact, it's by far less annoying that the Japanese one.

>while Tecmo Koei uses their acquired rights to do some extra stuff

The article even says it's Koei who will do that. We have yet to hear what actually happens with Gust/the Atelier team.

>> No.8203881 [View]

I really don't see the problem here.
Either Gust will be able to continue doing their stuff while Tecmo Koei uses their acquired rights to do some extra stuff, or we get Rorona and Saki turning armies into pie and cake.

Either way, I'm completely fine with it.

More importantly, how is that actually related to Chronicle Key at all? No matter how hard I listen, I don't hear a single bit of Japanese in there, not even in the background vocals (though I might be mistaken there, as it's kinda hard to understand anything at all).

I just saw that post. If it was a fellow elegan/tg/entleman browsing /jp/ or not, he deserves a million Fun-Buns

>> No.7694796 [View]

Whelp, that's it for me. Getting killed for taking stuff from obviously vacated claims miles away from my place is anything but fun, especially when inheriting bugs out and only gives stats, no LP.

Have fun, /jp/.

Still thinking about joining you guys. But considering the drama you already went through there compared to my almost boring hermit life (aside from that village just north of me. Someone from there killed me on my very first day...), I'm not so sure if I want to...

Would I get any benefit from leaving my small estate and join the hive? Do you guys have a minehole or cave or something?

I can probably pack up most of the relevant stuff, drop some other in a crate and then teleport out.

I would miss my little hut and garden though. ;_;

So I've been thinking about joining up with the /jp/ village, but I really don't want to create a new character. Been getting around quite a bit already I think and don't really want to leave my creation behind...

I also just checked the map and... hauling my stuff over doesn't look too appealing. I'm like on the other end of the map.

So... help?
