no, even at the time, it was a subpar 3rd person shooter w/ a megaman redesign tie-in

2 was ok

but armored core for a famous example and many other games made it look like shit in comparison

basically if it were made today most the internet would have a massive hate circlejerk over it and how it's not megaman and how it wasn't very good, and it would be mostly ignored as a bad spinoff to a good series

and honestly those aren't that bad if you know basic japanese and grammar and just need help with a hanzi here and there
machine translation can take small knowledge of a language to being as good as fluent, it's kind of underrated imo
