Niiiiice. That's a pic of right outside base near all the bars. The guys in uniform are shore patrol, basically on duty guys that have to go out and make sure no one is breaking any rules (curfew, fighting, etc)

That's cause you went to Shinjuku. Go to anywhere in Kyuushu (Fuk, Kumamoto, Saga, etc), and you'd have been able to get in

I spent last night bar hopping in Fuk. Dressed up as a high school girl with an afro. Chicks dug that shit like a motherfucker. Got invited to some huge Halloween party afterwards.

jesus christ. One of the best things about Osaka is it's historical sights. And it's right next to fucking Kyoto. But then again, I might be biased cause my grill lives there.

Seriously though, Osaka is a wonderful city.

Gonna go ahead and put on my trip, completely forgot about it.

I already have an external battery! I can do that on the weekends, and during the week, I can shoot the shit with you guys or whatever. I have some pretty interesting stories, in my opinion. I can also talk about the Navy and what it's like to be a white guy over here.

I already have a Nico account with Premium, I've streamed once or twice before. Didn't get many viewers.

Wrong.

Festivals, college graduation, some weddings, any special event (for example: some of the new Chiefs wives moms were wearing yukatas on the ship).

Surprisingly, the majority of people seem to dislike Japan, and are just here because they were made to come here. They want to be closer to home and they don't like the huge difference in culture. There are a lot of people, I don't know numbers though. I want to say it's the population of a small city.

As long as you get a job you might be fine? I'm not really an expert on living in Japan without a job, or even looking for one. I'm sure someone else knows a lot, though.

Annoying hot women if you're somewhat attractive.
Semi-mediocre chances.
Expensive.

I wish I was an officer. Those guys live the life. Massive pay, less bullshit at work, more power. I could go officer, but I do not desire to be in any longer than I have to.
Like you said, I'm gonna go to college, probably Temple Uni in Tokyo.

>>12470437
Try applying for JET or some other sort of English-teaching job. If not that, go to college, learn Japanese as a major or minor, be good enough to where you can conduct business in Japanese, then apply for jobs seeking English speaking personnel. Or a foreign exchange program. There are lots of opportunities out there for almost everyone.

I have no idea why, but I do know that if we fuck up once while driving, you get it taken away. At least at my place of station.

Don't be jealous, the benefits do not outweigh the shit I deal with on a daily basis.

Same with the apartment, once I advance in pay grade, I'll be eligible for one. I'll get mine for free, because I'm in the military. The only thing I have to pay for is the JCI (mandatory car insurance in Japan) and that's only if I'm buying a new car. Used cars usually come with a year or two's worth of JCI.
