Thanks.
Even Mugen is congratulating me...

To be honest, I'm surprised that this many people were interested.
I guess it goes to show that you can attract a larger crowd with a product than with an idea.

Just Oersted's chapter.
I forget to mention that every time...

Thanks.
Still, I wish I could get in contact with my programmer so I could do a bit more, but it can't be helped.

Whoops, got sidetracked.
>>6397072
It's a story about a knight, Oersted, who gets to marry the Princess of the kingdom, but the demon king kidnaps her. Oersted then has to go on a quest, meeting several people who help him along the way, to kill the Demon King and bring peace back to the world.
Of course, if it was that simple, it would make for a pretty boring VN. Read and find out for yourself if you like Medieval Fantasy and drama.

I assume you're trolling, but fuck it. It's from this.

Thanks.
I got a bit sidetracked, but like you said, it's done.

I know I'm a month or two late, but I finally finished the Live A Live VN that I mentioned a while back.
I lost track of my programmer a while back so it's not completely finished, but it's playable.
Might still need some editing and definitely needs some more pictures, but here it is.

Well I was working on a VN with a friend of mine and finally got the last piece of art I needed so now I'm going back and editing the script one last time before I release it as an alpha.
I also stopped posting updates on /jp/, but I don't think anyone noticed.

Wanna do art for a visual novel?

Good point.
I should have read some beginner guides to making VNs or something.

I made a thread about this earlier and was pointed to this place.
I need an artist for a visual novel.
I don't care if you're good or bad, as long as you can do art for a visual novel.
If you want to help me out, send an email to
tcartsub@gmail.com

>But what's it about?
The Visual Novel is a retelling of Oersted's chapter from Live A Live as well as his ending in the final chapter. There are a few parts that have been added or changed, but 99% of it is unchanged and the story remains the same.
Obviously, this is not an original project and just a fan work.

>Do I need to draw backgrounds?
I need to get backgrounds somehow. However, if you don't think you're up to it, that's fine. Really, I'll take any art I can get right now.

>What's the pay like?
$0/hour with no benefits. You also have to put up with my crap and maybe the programmer.
However, you'll have as much personal freedom as you need. You'll get to make input on the game's writing and programming and you'll be able to put your name on a project.

>How do I sign up again?

Ah, thank you.
Hopefully /jp/'s drawfriends won't ignore me again.

Of course.
I wouldn't imagine any company would be willing to pick something like this up.
Thanks for the offer, though. Maybe I'll see you when I start working on original projects again.

*sigh*
This is actually the main problem I have with it. Live A Live is an RPG made by Squaresoft for the SNES.
However, it was only released in Japan and next to no people in the west have played it.
I was hoping to bring the story (namely Oersted's chapter) to the west through a Visual Novel.
It sounded a lot better in my head.

Holy hell, where's the drawfag thread?
Is there just not one here today or what?

Politely sageing my own thread.

>"Mention what the VN was about."
The visual novel is a fan-game based on Live A Live.
Believe me, I would if I could, but this is out of my jurisdiction.

I knew I was forgetting to post something...

The image is just an example of what we're planning to use for the main menu.
It's still under construction.

We need an artist to assist us in the making of our Live A Live visual novel. If you think you can draw characters (we need 5, maybe 6 or more), feel free to message me at
tcartsub@gmail.com

The Visual Novel (at the moment) is only about Oersted's chapter with a possible after story using the Final Chapter's sad ending.

Until we get an artist, we really can't go anywhere, so please help if you have free time and can draw. If you can draw backgrounds, that's an added bonus.

I will suck your dick.

Anyways, I guess I'll end up asking him to help out after I finish the script 100%.
That shouldn't be too far off.

Thanks to everyone that helped, especially >>6078947
for (possibly) helping me out with the menu design and such.
Thanks Zun !bar, for keeping me inspired

Alrighty. If no one else has anything left to say or ask me, I'll let this thread die in peace.
I've got to start doing some editing and fight-scene writing, anyways.

Sage so I don't keep bumping this thread

But seriously, does anyone know how to contact Mugenjohncel. I think he could really help in the production of this.
As an alternative, does anyone know another person/group who would be able and willing to help me?
