I have no idea what you just said, but if you want to change a single color in photoshop without it touching the black in the image you could >magic wand the black, >Select similar, >Inverse, >Ctrl backspace the color you want the non black space to be.

I know right? It feels really odd, like not natural at all. I'm gonna show it to the publisher and try to see if I can advocate for a more simple, cartoonish style, which is what I'd like, color if possible. Manga is something I never had to do seriously so I don't think I can quite pull it off just like that.

It's "hip" and "what's in nowadays", ergo "it sells better"? I don't know. but I feel it looks like just every manga style anything that comes out, in that it just tries too hard to be something it's not. like those marvel mangas or teen titans.

I've been working on a comic for a publisher, problem is they want a Manga-ish style. So, I'm at a loss here and I don't know what the hell am I doing.
So might as well ask here for some opinions, can /jp/ help a brother out here? I'll post some advances I've made.
