I'd love to, but think about it - if "making any reference to the kigurumi discord server" is grounds for deletion, doesn't that limit a lot of discussion? Say someone here asks about wig care, and I feel like saying, "Oh yeah, a lot of people on the server were talking about how silicone spray works wonders, I think you should try it out." I wouldn't feel comfortable posting that, because there's a good chance it'd get deleted. You're going on and on about how the discord's a circlejerk - and I'm not gonna dismiss your opinion on that - but if this thread's gonna offer an alternative to that, isn't making people feel as free to say whatever they want the #1 most important thing to preventing a circlejerk? If even innocuous references to the discord get deleted without warning or explanation, I don't understand how you can believe people would prefer posting here.

Not really? I'm talking about the very earliest deleted posts in this thread, which were pretty much all critical of the discord. Pretty sure it was other thread regulars - maybe you included, though obviously I can't know since you're anon - who were doing that. What I'm saying is that I wish they were free to do that without being deleted. I think this thread would be a lot more lively and probably would have wandered its way back into regular kig posting if posts didn't keep getting deleted, which is what put me and a lot of other people off.

Anyways, I'm not sure where you're lookin' to draw the line between "talking about kigs" and "talking about the kig community". Like I pointed out before, everyone here seemed pretty happy to shit on KCS and Kig-O for years on end, and that wasn't a problem - hell, you guys reveled in it, hence the thread title.

What confuses me most of all, though, is that the posts that've been deleted are on your side, aren't they? If you hate discord so much, why're you so desperate to defend a platform that prevents you from criticizing it? I'm guessing you just wish the thread was back "on-topic" in your eyes, but in that case, why aren't you posting kig and saying stuff about kig instead of participating in the "gossip" that you hate so much? Am I missing something here?

Hey hey, that's my conspiracy theory, not the consensus. We can't really circlejerk when none of us know what the fuck is really going on with the janitors.

Call it metaposting or whatever, but this coulda been a legitimately good place for people to air criticism about the discord server anonymously. I really don't think talking about the server's off-topic when its kind of a big development in the western community at the moment. After all. people here have been shitting on Kig-O for years, and none of those posts ever got deleted; same goes for Sofa posts. I don't think it's unreasonable to be confused about the deletions when this thread's seen so little moderation in the past (to my knowledge).

I just wish we were allowed to talk about what we want to talk about in this thread. The imageboard format has some legit advantages over an often hectic real-time text chat, but it's just not a comfortable place to post if everyone has to worry about toeing the line to avoid deletion, especially we get zero info on what the line actually is.

I do feel kinda bad that the discord's drained thread activity, but it's also just way, way more fun there. I've gotten to talk more about kig fiction in the past 3 days than /kcs/ has offered, ever. So it goes, I guess.
