What?

I got banned on tohno-chan just for telling them to stop being obsessed with their waifus.

I've never been banned on /bun/ and you can talk about anything on their /photos/ board as long as you're not posting CP.

Maid cafe? no.

Anime/manga shop? sure. I actually own one. but be prepared for all the rage inducing mainstream fagots that go batshit insane "OMFG HE'S GOTS ANIME!" if you have anything mainstream...which your going to have to get sadly, because your store won't survive any other way. Don't put all your money on one product either. your going to have to grab other niche stuff too. pretty much your going to have to become a hobby store. If your selling Manga, your going to have to sell comics to bring in more people. if your selling figures, you need mainstream stuff (WoW, and all that bad shit) also be prepared to be putting series you hate on the same shelf as the ones you like. if you got plushies your going to be putting touhou with bleach(sadly). also your nicknacks sell the best (keychains, and such). also try bringing in card games (which is the biggest money maker in my store other than figures and apparel.) if you only know so much about one part of things, bring in a friend(or acquaintance) to handle something you have trouble dealing with (I have a buddy handle the card games.)

before you even think about taking out a loan, call other hobby shops from other towns/cities, and get their distributors. They WILL help you because there is one code amongst hobby shops. which is "look out for each other". this code is in place so that a business just starting up doesn't die and it creates a healthy competition between stores that are situated in one town/city. also, advertise, advertise like crazy.

hope this helps.

I'm Tech support for an ISP company(Eastlink). Pays well, but I'm tired of reporting to a boss. So I'm opening a Comicbook X Manga Shop. so I don't really have any tips for being a shut in. you can do that while having a job, one of my fellow employees comes to work and does just that, work, apparently a old school mate of his tells me he's a shut in and only plays games. so really, if you don't want to be a complete leach off your parents, get a job with minimal public contact; likes dishwashing. you just stay in your corner of the kitchen, your first couple of weeks people will bug you and ask prying questions, but it'll pass once they notice you don't reply with nothing more than a grunt.

That's pretty deep, considering her whole association with ying yang and shit.
