The suffixes indicate counters. Moonspeak has different counters for different things based on form or other abstract properties. In your example, rokko would refer to 6 small things, while rokunin to six people (although 人 is not just a counter for persons). Other examples are -dai for machinery, -hon/-pon for cylindrical objects, -mai for flat items, etc.

That's true, the only complete edition is some Kindle download, and I'm not quite eager to get that thing. However, some of his stories are availabel individually, so a couple could be referenced.
