I actually bought the disc years ago and had a friend help me get it working. He even rigged an X-Box controller to work on my PC back then.

I think I got an L out of this to give to a friend. Also found some random small plushie bananas with sunglasses that were easy to get. And the eyeball from Gegege Kitaro.

Meanwhile, a friend who was living there ended up winning a Wii. It was a claw machine with gashapon balls with random prizes listed on a note inside. He lucked out to get one that would let him pick any, including the grand prize of a Wii. All for 200 yen. I wonder if my friend who I went with still has the video.

I wonder this glorious pink bastard in the big Sega one in Akihabara. Though I did first knock it into a tough spot and someone came over to fix it and probably took pity on my gaijin ass and put it in an easier spot.

Is Super Potato still a cute little vidya store? I know friends living there said they loved it, so they made sure to take me there.

That was one of the big stores. Think it was near the subway stop we got out at.

local cable company is having a free trial for a few weeks of a JPNTV channel. Right now I'm watching Pythagoras Switch that I recorded.

Remember finding clips of this kids show ages ago.

A friend of mine said someone would go around the town he lived in with just a loudspeaker on a van like that.

The van I heard when I was there was just some guy picking up used appliances and asking people to bring them him to recycle. I'm sure there's some hefty fees for disposing of them with the city, so I guess people want to drop them off with him instead.

After he listened and told me that, then my friend told me how there was some loon that went around the same way, talking about making Japan's blood pure and expelling foreigners.
