god I hope that this isn't really you.

I would consider myself all of those things also but the difference is I'm quite certain that I'll be a complete failure

why?
Most would say Beckett was an imitator of Joyce anyway, and he was a success nonetheless.

Maybe publishers will take note of me being eighteen?
I plan to finish this before i turn nineteen

Heller? Please

i don't think so. But I have probably mentioned having suicidal tendencies in the past.

It's usually about this time of year anyway.

this is for people who wanted me to update them on my progress through my writing.

I am eighteen and thought it to be about time I penned something solid to paper.

I type it up and cringe at the likelihood of it all being a silly cliche. But I hope that somebody here has the time to offer tasteful and helpful critique so I can make it better.

narcissistic, self loathing, curious

I think about suicide regularly, and about how others may perceive me or judge me. How people think of me in the street and whether or not they hate me yet.
I think about physical processes a lot. I obsess over machinery and can't move on until I figure out how it works. I know the mechanics and mathematics of every part of a car and often take apart menial devices to feel familiar and comfortable with them.

I am scared of disappointing my father and I fear becoming a failure

>> No.4352857 [View]

to be honest guys,
I'd much rather read a beautifully written buck about nothing than a fractured and illiterate sob story.

this is why game of thrones and lord of the rings and harry potter will never be considered 'literature'

and anime will never be considered 'art'

I'd be willing to record audiobooks and upload them.

I read out loud for audiences a lot so have practice.

I can read a fairy tale right now and upload it. If it transfixes you I'll record a novel of your choice (or perhaps one of my choice if you have no preference) for your journey.

I'll charge nothing. I need a project to occupy me tonight so I don't kill myself.

this is a regional thing. That is how we speak in the countryside.
'seated' implies somebody placed me or ushered me to the seat.
'I was sitting' doesn't sound right
you can surely not criticise any author to use colloquial terms

yeah, I wrote it on the cuff. no editing.
comma splicing is very common and most people do it a couple of times here and there before editing it out.
other than that I don't see a problem

I'm fairly confident I'll come up with a plot half way through the novel

>> No.4352426 [View]

hmm.
I'll try
it's just I'm not very imaginative and don't have a feel for pacing.
I would end up despising myself if I wrote a soap opera.
my biggest inspirations are hemingway mccarthy and beckett so I guess I'm going to end up pretty empty prose anyway.
