and speaking strictly of history, I've found out that Dr. Goldsmith's History of Greece was a popular book back then.

My colored-folk, I was in search of the same thing after blindly going over the Greeks 10 years ago without any history or a wider perspective to provide me a guidence. Now I'm re-starting with the Greeks and I think I've found the gentleman to guide me through this.

>George Gilbert Aimé Murray, OM, FBA (2 January 1866 – 20 May 1957) was an Australian-born British[1] classical scholar and public intellectual, with connections in many spheres. He was an outstanding scholar of the language and culture of Ancient Greece, perhaps the leading authority in the first half of the twentieth century.

by him
A History of Ancient Greek Literature
The Classical Tradition in Poetry
Anthropology and the Classics
Five Stages of Greek Religion
Hellenism and the Modern World
Themis - A Study of Social Origins of Greek Religion
The Rise of Greek Epic

all available on archiveorg

Also there's a two-volume Cambridge History of Classical Literature (2 volumes) one for Greek and the other for Latin.

I've read only Submission, The Map and the Territory and Atomised because you autists couldn't stop talking about it. And they were surprisingly good.

Is the English translation for the latest one out yet?

op autistic confirmed. Dude; chillax, pick a book and read.
And learn "register" (mode, tenor, field). Go read Beyond the Sentence by Thornbury and learn why that way of "composing" text messages will not get you any P U S S Y.

I find him entertaining. Also, if you leave aside all his New Age and conspiracy theory stuff, what he saying is not necessarily a bad thing. (extremely skeptical outlook, vigilantly liberal ideas) Though some people take him a little too seriously.

protip: read it in the chronological order not in the order it is (i.e. the worst editor in history Uthman.)

it still is boring, at least it starts powerful yet gets boring towards the end.

read a book about it. Not about the language.

A book on Second Language Acquisition. You'll see that there is no "one way" but several. Try, see what works for you.

Also you can read about Language Teaching/Learning Approaches & Methods.

This assumes that all the burgers who live in the United Menus of Burgerland actually know English. An average native has around B1-B2 levels on some of the four skills -not even on all four.

That's where you're mistaken. She _was_ with the establishment, actually she was the mouthpiece for the Gulenist approach to Islam marketed towards the white-collars in Turkey.

She fell from grace after the coup attempt.

I'm 100% anti-erdoğan yet I find her work bland. And opinionwise she's irrelevant.
