Oh, and the characters were insanely well-developed, but I felt that Sammy was really under-appreciated. Joe was too perfect and too much of the book focused on him.

Is there any other Chabon stuff worth reading?

What did /lit/ think?

I loved the first half, even though it took 80 pgs to get rolling. The 2nd half fucked around way too much and ended on a flaccid note. Great story overall.

I bought it at the Holocaust Museum. It was a very moving work.

Smoke and Mirrors was great. I'll have to read Fragile Things eventually.

The complete Sandman is easily found on pirate bay. Better to download it. Paying for the whole thing is ridiculous.

There's a lot of controversy about how factual this is, but it's a damn good story regardless of its truthfulness.

That's probably Gaiman's weakest besides Stardust (I haven't read Anansi Boys. Coraline, The Graveyard Book and Mirrormask don't count since they're written for kids). I enjoyed it, but, yeah, I wouldn't recommend it to a first-time Gaiman reader.

Read Neverwhere or the Sandman graphic novel series next.
