It is par excellence but I'm too lazy to say why but let us understand that it has a lot to do with it being a very basic narrative structure which is found in most works of literature and which follows a structure going like "first state; altered state; back to first state".

took a course on this stuff, our teacher would first ask students to take out any books out of their stuff and if he had read them, he'd show how it contains this narrative structure, and how it is oedipian, and then would ask people for three random words out of which he would rewrite the story.

narcissic elation also is a very oedipian thing, most romantic literature is centered around an oedipian structure and protip it has nothing to do with the usual narrative structure of "first state; trouble;back to first state", it is something else, well, really I gotta go in 20 mins and I'm real fucking lazy, maybe tomorrow I guess.
