ya but only a little more super natural then Dexter talking to his dead dad. it all depends on weather u believe the voices in dexters head are real

i read a few of the books but they aren't as good as the first book but they are entertaining and do give you a different view of what Dexter could be

i the part that stuck with me most was the end when he finds the river boat man.
I interpreted the river as time and then when he took on the roll as the river boat man ferrying people across the river as the Buddha helping people who struggle with the time that we spend traveling through this world
but the book had a lot that could be read into, its one of the reasons i dont suggest it to everyone

not unless you already read some Buddhist history and had a older Buddhist mentor to answer some questions. I was thinking of becoming a Buddhist read this then talked to a prof of Buddhism (he was just not the right person to talk too) and i still no as little as i knew before i read the book

i thought it was ok, but it wasn't really about the Buddha and as a novel its a bit week i wouldn't reread it unless i felt i needed to think deeply for a while i recommend it to some people but its definitely not for everyone

I HOPE to start a discussion about a subject i plan to write about. I intend to write a fiction story based in a universe that is identical to reality except for some altered historical events. Events lead to a schism in the social fabric of most cultures around the world. The only real difference in the proposed universe is that a large amount of people all over the world have abandoned the states they were citizens or inhabitants of and have traveled to Antarctica to build a life away from the problems that forced them from their homes.
So Antarctica becomes the last safe haven for personal sovereignty and i would like to discuss the troubles of implementing and living in such a reality.
PLZ ask questions. I will post more detail about the universe below juvyPunk=OP

i agree that magic would be a hurdle but i think if you shoot the movie from Mat Cauthon's perspective it would be a none issue cause he cant see the weaves and he hates magic

i like this idea
while i feel that if GRRM did introduce a third party of super natural conspirators into his last book it would be a cheap way out. I think its imaginative and there might be such a conspiracy or something similar GRRM will probably only use it as a distraction and keep to real deciding moment between dragons and whatever controls the white walkers
now i could believe that something that controls water can reanimate corpses and would lose that control when the corpse is burned

America goes to shit the dollar ain't worth shit and the rich people higher all the navy seals to fight for them and protect them(just like through all history) how many navy seals do you think will stay in the union military when the other side is paying gold and they actually defend the constitution. If your fighting trained soldiers with pissed of hungry poor people i know which side of the front line i would be on.

i think people misunderstand the stance of private property and personal rights. A population explosion doesn't mean that suddenly people will be willing to share what they never have before. also if America were to try to redistribute wealth with a 50% tax and nationalization of oil and other industries, i think the profitability of the industries and capital that owns them would arm up and try to sussed like the first civil war when the union tried to take the rich men's workforce from his industry

actually it would be an incentive to send them off to die faster because the pay scale raises the longer they survive. and if le bron was a SEAL how long would he survive

Well sounds to my like its not your cup of tea. Aldous Huxley and Ray Bradbury are a kind of distopia genre Dune is really a space opera like star trek is but obviously different a good show you might like is "legend of galactic heroes" its subbed so u can read
here 2 Frank Herbert books u might like "the white plague" "hellstrom's hive"

>>2827170
