>Hi, I'm Mencius Moldbug. Yes my blog is harder to read than most actual books. No, I won't ever sell a paper copy. You'll just have to print every post one by one and put them in a binder; but I digress...
>Absolute Monarchy is a totally sustainable system, not just a transitionary phase between Feudalism and modern states. It's a bit like being ruled by a corporation, and no that didn't cause a dystopian nightmare in the Belgian Congo or India. You've just read too much Liberal propaganda; but I digress...
>Yes I have read Hans-Hermann Hoppe, and I do know the difference between Feudal, Absolute and Constitutional Monarchy. No, I won't always use the terms correctly, and no it's not just to be edgy. There are high-IQ reasons for it beyond your comprehension; but I digress...
>Democracy is the worst thing that ever happened. It was all explained eloquently by Sir Diggory Hewitt-Lane Montpellier Fortesque Pericles Cholnondely-Warner IX fifth Baron of Yeoldcountry in 1642, a freer time than ours - and no slavery is not incompatible with freedom; but I digress...
>Many of my fans think my ideas are compatible with Theocracy and Eugenics. No I won't try to dissuade them from this, and no it definitely wouldn't cause a civil war between Neoreactionaries if they actually took political power; but I digress...
>I'm a Carlylist the same way other people are Marxists. Yes, this does mean I will be an insufferable fanboy for my senpai. You'll just have to deal with it; but I digress...
>Most problems can be solved using capitalism. Thatcher and Reagan were based. No, I'm not just an edgy Neoliberal! I'm a totally radical Monarchist Reactionary; but I digress...
>Sovereignty can only ever be a monopoly. No, it doesn't matter that a network of subordinate rulers and institutions are required to maintain it. We just need a hyper-autistic system to formalize them all; but I digress...
>You need to take this thing called the clearpill. It's like the pills in the Matrix, but instead of doing anything you write 100,000 word blog posts. No, it's not a waste of time. It's antipraxis, as my Sith apprentice Nick Land explained on his Deleuzean horror blog; but I digress...
>My father's rabbi thinks I took the default Jewish survival strategy since the Chaldean invasion, renamed it "exit", and sold it to gentiles as a new political science. He just doesn't understand the complexity of my civic ontology; but I digress...

Um... Um... Erm... Yeah... So... You know...
Absolute monarchy is totally a sustainable system, and not just a transitionary phase between feudalism and modern states. It's like being ruled by a corporation - and no, this didn't cause a dystopian nightmare when it was tried in the Congo or India; but I digress...
Um... Um... Erm... Yeah... So... You know...
Sovereignty can, by definition, only ever be a monopoly - and no, it doesn't matter that a pyramid of subsidiary rulers and institutions are required to maintain it. We just need a hyper-autistic system to formalize them all; but I digress...
Um... Um... Erm... Yeah... So... You know...
Democracy is even worse than slavery. This was all explained eloquently by Count Josef Coudenhove Blutwurst Sacher-Masoch XIV in 1643, a freer time than ours - and no, slavery is not incompatible with freedom; but I digress...
Um... Um... Erm... Yeah... So... You know...
You need to take this thing called the clearpill. It's like the pills in The Matrix, but instead of doing anything you just write 10,000 word blog posts - and no it isn't a waste of time. It's called antipraxis, as my apprentice Nick Land explains on his own blog; but I digress...

Some say that retarded teenagers on /pol/ have explained in a few posts what I take a whole long-winded book to say. They're wrong, of course - and no, I'm not going to explain why. You have to figure it out for yourself; but I digress.............

>The world before nationalism and democracy was a world of mild wars, small and effective governments, personal freedom, and civilized high culture… Note that, before the coming of nationalist democracy, it was actually not a problem at all for wealthy, high-IQ people to live in the same society as poor, low-IQ people. It worked just fine. The latter served the former.

>When we look at the astounding violence of the democratic era, it strikes me as quite defensible to simply write off the whole idea as a disaster, and focus on correcting the many faults of monarchism.

>And while not all the crimes in this tragedy (crimes of the 20th century) were committed by democrats, democracy is indeed its prime and ultimate cause. It is not a coincidence that the century of murder and the century of democracy were one and the same.

>As a people, we believe insane things, because democracy has driven us all insane. After all, it's had two hundred years to do so. Its edifice of magical thinking is a wonderful thing, ornate as a Disney castle, more worthy of admiration than destruction. Sadly, it is the castle of evil, and God's sweet fire will melt it in a flash.

>The basic grim truth that Americans need to face up to is that American successes and victories in the 19th and 20th centuries did not happen because of America's unique political system. They happened despite America's unique political system. America became great not because American democracy was great, but because America was a great people in a great place. As such, it was uniquely resistant to the poison of democracy, and alone survived its own disease. Now that the bloom is off the continent's youth, we can see how well American democracy works in a normal country. Others have experienced this disappointment; now, it is our turn.

>And yet — there is a God in this world. There is right, at least, and wrong. In everything. In code. In a toy. And this is our special torture: as the planet rots, as fools rule and hyenas feast, as nations lie prostrate, churches decompose, and the Devil with a knife owns London, Paris, New York after dark, fell in our hairy hands the real work of a real King, an Able-man, Kenning — who served God, or right at least, and could bend small armies to obey. And make — a toy. So near we are to salvation; so infinitely far away. Rest in peace,Steve.

In recent history, the failure of central planning has only displayed the robustness of capitalism. It seems that capitalism essentially mirrors the Darwinian forces of man (natural selection, survival of the fittest, etc.), and will therefore prevail over any other system. The only way to prevent the inherent inequalities that capitalism produces would be a system that optimizes autarky, i.e. anarchism, libertarianism, “patchwork,” even. However, in a post-industrial age, these ideals are lost as the average person does not possess the basic survival skills, which men from centuries past did. In addition, it is not likely that any of these will arise organically—an existentially-threatening stimulus is needed. At best, this virus will ramp up healthcare/social welfare and reduce globalism for the time being. I don’t see “balkanization” or a Diocletian-style severance of America, but I hope I’m wrong. On the other hand, I’ve seen the opposite point argued—that this crisis will be used as a means for even more control, since millions will have to depend on the government for their health and sustenance (also see Bill Gates’ ID2020; Rev 13:15-18). Q people are telling us to “trust the plan” as per usual, but I don’t know what to believe at this point. I don’t have a particular position that I would like to argue, I just wanted to open up a discussion.Any literature on these topics, namely “collapse” and “rebuilding,” so to speak?
