This doesnt really change anything. It still reduces religious suffering/ experience to little more than a psychological coping mechanism for something that is ultimately purely material, as Feuerbach and Marx as well couldn't fathom of anything beyond that, and the withering of religion (which Marx blindly dismisses as "illusory happiness") hasn't done anything to really liberate man. Even commies have given up on purely atheistic communism with liberation theologogy, a strange fetish for Islam, and even witchcraft in feminist circles. Even they no longer believe in materialistic ontology.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but the thread yesterday about stream entry peaked my interest. What really is stream entry, and can just an ordinary guy (so not a monk) even attain it? How is it different from Nirvana?

Im really new to Buddhism, so any help is welcome.
