The Renaissance (Bruno) interpretation of Sisyphus was of life as a continual process of heroism without end, that there was no end point of attainment where you become perfect and exit from history, but rather continual betterment, much like the Orthodox concept of theosis where the individual continually improves in the presence of the infinite perfection of God, or Kant's ethical perfection argument for the existence of God. There can be no absolute human because we are conditioned by our humanity, therefore there will always be something outside of us that we can strive to include within ourselves, always a new hill to push our boulder up to once we attain a new height, always a new mountain once we scan the new horizon from the peak we have ascended.
