Not good. I haven’t studied in over two years and I still haven’t managed to pull myself back together. My time is running out and with every passing day I feel dumber, uglier and older. My inferiority complex is getting worse and the mere thought of going back to campus or spending my day studying is making me sick. I’m scared for my future and I don’t want to be an even bigger disappointment to my parents. I screwed up.

What the fuck makes something a classic?

Melville is considered a great and canon but only really for Moby Dick and maybe Billy Budd. Does this mean the rest of his works are classics then like Typee and so on?
Cervantes is only known for Don Quixote, is everything else he did classic and influential and canon?
Balzac wrote a fuckload of novels and is only known for like 3 or 4 and yet his canon status is disputed despite being a large influence to the novel as an artform and on authors like Dostoevsky, Proust and Flaubert. Does this magically make everything he did a classic and worth reading then? Or are they largely worthless realist pap?

Does age make something a classic? Influence? Both? Is classic a mark of inherent quality or value then?

Generally, a lot of the information you can look at is freely available by the US military. Things like firearm maintenance and application, formations and patrols, how to use comms, etc. The biggest thing you need to understand is "mercenaries" use their prior military experience. There is almost no "mercenary" that wasn't a regular soldier before.

A manual for the M4 and M16 (if you can use these, you can essentially use any automatic rifle):
https://fas.org/irp/doddir/army/tc3-22-9.pdf

A manual for handguns (again, if you can use one, you can essentially use them all):
https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/pdf/web/ARN20599_TC_3-23x35_Incl_C2_FINAL_WEB.pdf

The Soldier's Blue Book (given to Army recruits in the US and expected to be handled like a Bible. Most of it is superfluous and moreso about the culture of the Army but it details some useful things like how the military expects you to take care of yourself hygienically in the field):
https://usacimt.tradoc.army.mil/ltb/IMTLS/Reg/Soldier%27s%20Blue%20Book.pdf

Various documents relating to multiple things in the military:
https://armypubs.army.mil/ProductMaps/PubForm/FM.aspx

For exercise routines, you're better off just forming your own. That's what most "mercenaries" do, I imagine. Most first-world militaries have weak exercise routines tailored to minimize any sort of physical strain and injury and to accommodate fat, aging officers and women.

If you have something specific, let me know and I'll search for it. Now I'm gonna post my long blog post.

as blackened storm clouds grow near;

>become completely indifferent to her in order to preserve some dignity rather than being a mating ground monkey
This was me to an autistic degree in high school. I remember there was this girl who joined my friend group, and as usual the orbiting started. She ended up fucking every guy in it and when it came my go around I refused because she had been with so many guys and I was afraid of STDs. Being with a whore is also disgusting.
In the end, I was ostracized from my friend group and the rest of my time in highschool was spent known as an awkward, virgin, slut-shamer with no friends.
Dignity is a pretty hollow reward.
