Honestly? HPMOR. A fucking fanfiction, of all things. My first venture into Rationalism that, while not perfect, is definitely overlooked.

Why do people look down on fan fiction?

I'm at book two.
Fuck this was interesting up until the whole army thing. This shit doesn't have anything good that the frist book had and that hooked me into reading it until 4 am.
Anyway, discuss this fanfic and if you are so kind explain em two things: Spoilers
-How did Harry get more than 5 galleons for christmas?
-How did Hermione won the first battle?

Should I be worried if I see far too much of myself in HPMOR's protagonist? As far as I'm aware, this fanfic is objectively shit, but despite that, it's almost brining me to genuine tears. Has anyone else here experience anything like this? I'm not really one for reading, but this seems like the perfect place on the perfect website to ask about something so autistic.
