Why wouldn't women have evolved to be able to exploit the man just as well as the man has been evolved to exploit the woman? I think Schopenhauer is right on this.

I like to imagine Schopenhauer in fits of laughter as he wrote each of his essays on women.

All I ever did was what I was told. I was quiet, I paid attention, I was intelligent, I gave them no trouble. And yet they clearly despised me, even at 7 I could tell they found me annoying. I know it sounds like nothing but to a 7 year old hearing that was very hurtful. All my early interactions with girls and women were like that. We played a game in class once where you pinch peoples thumbs and they have to guess who did it, a girl screamed "EWWWW DISGUSTING" when she found out I pinched her thumb. Whenever I'd show interest in the ugliest girls in school they'd run away from me, all I did was try to say hello. I'd catch my own mother giving me disappointed, disgusted looks sometimes, like she was ashamed I was her son for not being enough of a man.

But I'm not sat here resenting and hateful of women, I just want nothing to do with them. They're such petty, vindictive creatures, even if one offered me sex I'd decline because when I think of being close to such a disgusting being I'm repulsed by it.

He was also alive during the american civil war and supported the blacks rising out of their suffering.

The only thing that makes him a bit politically incorrect by todays standards is his commentary on women.
