I'm currently learning Chinese and I'd like to know what to read so I can read when I get more fluent. Our teacher mentioned 红楼梦 (Dream of the Red Chamber) but I wanted to know if there things too. I personally want to read Journey to the West and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

How do I motivate myself to read?

I had a psychotic break that left me in an involuntary and lasting state of Cartesian doubt and I ended up reading Plato and Kant to rebuild my cognitive function with some certainty about concepts

I know the prevailing cultural norms and beliefs of the ruling class also gets absorbed by the proletariat but it's still painful

Yeah, I'll have to give that article a second read tomorrow with a fresh mind. It's pretty dense but from my first read I appreciate the scholarship.
As for getting into Serrano, you're right. Nos is more end level to his thought, given its a poetic way of explanation. I recommend his short book that contains his conversations with Hermann Hesse and Jung. It's a more down to earth introduction.
