I have a rash on both of my hands. I have some ointment which I put on and it makes it feel better for a little while but it doesn't make the rash go away. It itches and it's spreading.
I don't know what to do.

Why is there so much confusion and conflicting answers to the question of what exactly you have to do to be saved and go to heaven and not hell?
Some Christians say if you just believe and ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness, you can be assured of going to heaven without a doubt.
Some Christians have a much more complicated answer, there are all kinds of things you have to do, and even then they say that you don't really know for sure if you will go to heaven or not.
Why is there such disagreement on this?
