I've read plenty of both HPL and Faulkner. HPL is just more interesting and original and therefore a better writer in my opinion. This is not to say that Faulkner is a poor writer by any stretch. I read for entertainment. Not trolling. Haters gonna hate.

Does anybody else find it sad that people who major in things like computer engineering and business get praised for studying what will make a lot of money, whereas people who major in the liberal or fine arts get criticized for studying something that will only benefit them intellectually? I mean, why has pursuing knowledge for the sake of knowledge suddenly become less honorable than pursuing knowledge for the sake of money? Is a higher education only worth the amount an employer will buy you for?
